up till today people are building a bed sitter kind of houses (FACE me I FACE you) in some of the south west state where up to 10 people are sharing a Toilet, in contrast to this, all new buildings that i have seen in the South South (particularly Edo/Delta) are either self contained or Flats, almost all the Houses have Borehole also..

Go to our Villages and you probably won't find a Befitting house there, but Villages in other part of the Country including Edo state spots different beautiful Edifice, if you doubt me please travel to Villages in Edo state to confirm.


these Old dilapidated Houses is nothing to be proud of, they should be phased out gradually and should be eradicated in the long run.


Ps. Ibadan also have one of the best Buildings I have seen in Nigeria, but we need to do more please.

He does not have a choice because it's not in his hands. He can create as much LCDA as he wants in Oyo state if the state assembly supports him.

The supreme court has put an end to the state & LG joint account. Oyo state local government areas will get their funds directly starting from this month.

the houses you see in Oja to bere axis are of historic communities compared to other areas in oyo state. Have you been to Iyangaku before? Maybe I will post some pictures of Iyangaku to you . This is Iyangaku axis I was telling you about.

Most of the houses you see in the picture are people ancestral homes. Generations from those homes have moved on to build modern houses elsewhere. See those buildings as temporary shelters for better future

Most of the house you're referring to in ibadan are historically ancient family houses. They wish to rebuild it but they are incapacitated due to finance, you could assist in this regard.
