Too much information? Maybe not. Are you comfortable posting your bank details to an online forum? cheesy

Well, I see "Influencers" asking people to drop their account numbers on social media for giveaways so maybe it's no biggie these days. wink

I decided to reject Access Bank's rights offer. Currently, I hold 520,000 units of Access Bank in my investment portfolio, which translates to 260,000 units of the rights offer. The cost implications of this are: 260,000 x 19.75 = 5,135,000.
If I were to buy in the secondary market @19.20, including commissions of up to 1.45%.
5,135,000 - 1.45% would get me 263,569 units.
Waiting till September/October, same amount could get 270,000 units plus due to possible liquidity constraints in 2 to 3 months post rights offer.
Reason?
The government aim of indirectly mopping excess Naira from circulation would have been achieved, Investors might flood the secondary market with Bank's shares.

Current Market Price of Access needs to be above 20.1 for it to be profitable for me to sell some existing shares to take up my rights. That figure should be lower for those using Morgan iTrade.

For those that would have doubts... Check am here... I hide my privacy sha grin

The date of transaction and JAIZ BANK is showing very well

No, I am not doubting you. I was just surprised that some things done at the AGM are shams. What then is the essence of voting to ratify the payment of dividends declared at the AGM if they can start paying before the AGM except if there was no AGM or the voting to ratify the payment of dividends was not part of the AGM Agenda, that is an anomaly in itself.

Yesterday, after the banks payment alert , I still got another notification from APR and it was still stated that it's payable on 16/7/24.

You didn't hide your privacy well. An average secondary school student with basic exposure to computer and the Internet can remove those smileys you put there. Be guided and watchful

I wonder why he didn't delete it after trying to prove his point.
Tech has gone beyond using smiley to block anything...
If he had used marker to paint it, it would have been better self.

I didn't pay attention to it o, just checked now and saw that it's PO

GT will likely still push the price to 50

With the payment of dividend by Jaiz Bank, and with good results, it might start attracting attention.

The management also said they are closer to their bank capitalization target by N1.3billion. They might be the first bank to achieve the target requirement by CBN.
