discusant:

But what criterion do they use to share the allocations largely derived from crude oil?
Abia and Imo States, two oil and gas producing states received a pittance compared to Delta, Lagos, Kano, Oyo.
volume of actual oil contribution was used and not social media bragging aggression.

mostly augmented by loans. Crude revenue goes largely towards repayment of old loans and new loans goes for the addictive sharing process.
But the money is not loan to the state.

But the money is not loan to the state.
it is being shared as purely crude oil earning because any attempt to touch the oil derivative to those states is a confirmation crude money has been exhausted by repayment.

Look at Ondo and Oyo too. Ondo is the most terrible in the south west. Look at what Ekiti earned compared to Ondo state but there's more development activities going on in Ekiti compared to Ondo state.
I totally agree with you

This is a foolish reasoning, so the foolish governor can not think inside n outside the box to generate more wealth to leverage any debt. The oloriburuku you elect as governor should just come n be spending FAC is that what you vote the lunatics for ?!

The can not be productive ?

ogaontop:
Some of these states are owing the FG and the loan is split over many years, so FG will deduct the monthly loan repayment before disbursing any allocations!
Most of what you saw there are not the actual allocations!
States like Kaduna, Delta, and Abia has their ex-governors owing foreign bodies in Dollars and these allocations go into debt servicing; while some others are owing other local debts apart from the federal government.
So when your state governor is not performing, think about the amount he's paying back as loan collected by his predecessors plus the amount he's embezzling and know how much is left for "actual" work.

Lagos is generating far more than their monthly federal allocation.

That state is a clear evidence that things will not get better if everyone has 100% resource control or even if Nigeria Divide.

Our challenges goes beyond that.

Subtract the salaries of public workers the remaining amount of money is stolen. That's why there is no progress and development in Nigeria.

The only Elu P state received N54.2 billion. Within same period Ogun received N40 billion. Abia is owing workers 11 months salary of 18k minimum wage while Ogun is up to date with over 30k. Reason is very simple. Just tell them Tinubu is the problem, you are free man and the best governor for saying the truth while run to their social media handle to insult Tinubu down to his ancestors.

It is quite unfortunate that most things we grade as cruise later forms opinions about us and changes our mindsets subtly. If at this period in this country, you still engage in shenanigans and uncanny speeches then the hope of Nigeria is lost.

How on earth did you get the figures that Abia state pays its workers Eighteen Thousand Naira minimum wage and owes workers 18 months salary? This your assumption lacks Knowledge.

Why so much difference between Anambra and Ogun? Aside from being an oil-producing state, what other criteria are considered to arrive at the allocation figures?

FAAC is net after foreign loan deductions.

lol please tell us where it says that state allocations from FAAC is based on what states generate as IGR.....Cause if we were going by the logic you pulled out of your ass Lagos should be top of that list.....you are so riddled with envy for the SW instead of you to face your state you are here ranting about someone else's......there are only six states in Nigeria that can survive without FAAC Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, FCT, Kaduna, Kwara.....if dem born your governor well tell him to abstain from FAAC for 3 months let see what becomes of your state...... I bet you don't even know the difference between FAAC and IGR....you're just here to display your ignorance....I feel sorry for those who raised you.....they deserve a refund.....
Do I say ignorance or hatred or maybe too many kids on nairaland with regional and tribal hates, this negative attitudes occasioned by political sentiments won't improve ur scope of wealth, connection and relationship across board in Nigeria but rather it will reduce you to a local champion with a limited opportunities as a result of a narrow mindedness, pls, free urself from that bondwagon of tribal hatred..hmmm, meanwhile, here is the true information about the six states that can actually survive without FAAN in Nigeria....

While Abia is developing the State (from scratch) with new infrastructures, Ogun State reeks of dilapidated road networks. That's the difference, sir!

Foreign and local loans are also deducted.
That’s why Kaduna allocation is very low. El rufai borrowed foreign loans in millions of dollars.

Sir , Imagine a state with only 8 LGA, and 2,537,400 Population as at 2022 , Imagine the amount of allocation going there and yet no visible correlation in time of welfare , infastructure ..... with the money received. Most times our problem is not just the presidency.
