Lol, collecting and celebrating loans as if we won the lottery. Finally, baba and apc has finally dragged us hook line and simmer into the imf/world bank debt trap, under their control, something obj removed us from, yar adua, Jonathan refused to play along with and hence their removal was sponsored by the West to bring the apc in to our doom. The final cherry on top is the current misfit with lots of baggage that is used as "kompromat" to compel him to do their will. From the writeup you can now see that the increase in petrol prices, vat etc were beyond his control, rather instructions from the world bank he had to commit too. World bank/Inc are instruments of the West, which will be used to make Africans poor so their raw materials, human capital will be taken and used dirt cheap. They use it to control your economy and lives and make you subservient or slaves to them. Thanks to the ignorants that voted the apc misfits, hope they see where they have landed us. No way we are getting out of this for the next 50 years! |

coded01:Have you seen where a money lender, loan shark gives you money to better yourself? Those days go to the local airport side ie faan offices where you had lots of aboki money changers and see the kind of cars they drove. Where do you think majority of those cars came from? Broke people will come and collect quick loans, eg 500k, drop a jeep worth 10m, aboki knows they cannot meet the terms of the loans, some are said to even do jazz so you cannot meet the deadline. A the end of the day, your jeep is gone for 500k! Car owners became legedes benz riders overnight. Infact, as you drop the car and take the money, aboki starts using the car as he knows you cannot pay. Consider us the deptor and aboki imf/world bank. 1 Like |

mrvitalis: Well that's correct but two problems or maybe observations. First Nigeria had that chance in 1954 and rejected it. Those who care can go read the history. Second, those benefiting from the current framework will not voluntarily restructure. The Negro is inherently and unfortunately socialist. Good Luck to Nigeria. |

Re: Nigeria Gets $751.88 Million From Recently Approved World Bank Loan by IbeOkehie: 12:06pm On Jul 17 |
mrvitalis: Why drag tribe into this? And your argument is sketchy on top. Every Nigerian has unrestricted access to markets, so where is the Igbo advantage? An Igbo has to score 100 to enter University or FGC where a Fulani can enter with a score of 15. That's definitely not an Igbo advantage. So where is the gain? I can't make a tribal argument though because the same Igbo support Affirmative Action and forced integration in the USA. Negroes are socialists. That's the real issue. Good Luck to Nigeria. |

Gerrard59: People like him and Madam Cococandy are the real danger to the USA. cococandy: I've already told the story of my million dollar earning friend still complaining about racism. Someone in the top 1% of USA earners still sees himself as a victim of racism. And our Igbo are the worst, they come as a guest to a country and want to dominate the owners of the land and call them fools. Any wonder the Sarduana said what he said in that famous BBC interview in the 1950s. My bros, the thing is mind blowing. In fact in our discussions he always emphasizes that the racism is SYSTEMIC. So I asked him how a systemically racist system allowed a Black colored Negro like him to rise to the top 1% and he can't answer. In fact a systemically racist system wouldn't even let him become a USA citizen. Oh, and he was always saying he doesn't mind paying more taxes. Just like Warren Buffett Many of these people don't realize or refuse to acknowledge that in a free market capitalist system, the rising tide will lift all boats in the long term. That's why Black American descendants of slaves are the richest set of Blacks in any country on earth. Like I often tell my liberal friends, Jeff Bezos went from $300K to $100 billion net worth in 30 years, me I went from $0 to where I am now....he improved and me too I improved to the extent I live better than 95% of Nigerians where I grew up. What's the problem? You only have to look at California to see what's going on. I've tried to tell you what is really happening. I suspect an American Reformation is coming in this our year 2015 and it's about time. Good Luck to the USA. |

IbeOkehie: The real danger to the United States is people like you who have individualistic mindset. This is typical of the republican person. They can’t fathom fighting for something unless it personally benefits them. No one country would be in a good place if the successful people decide everything is okay and we should remain at status quo. What that does is create a big gap of slim ultra wealthy, thin middle class and plenty of impoverished people who will forever be impoverished.
Racism is systemic. Your friend is a smart person who hasn’t let the fact that he earns well cloud his sense. There’s more to society than money if we even want to speak on it. But even if we just focus on money, the systemic racism is the reason why your friend probably put in 10x the amount of work it took for a white person on his level to get to where he is. The funny thing is that if you’re not making 500k/yr or even more, you’re closer to the person making 50k and more likely to be affected by the corporate welfare system the republicans endorse than the system of equitable taxation and representation. Some people start making 6 figures & own some choice properties then they think they can be like Jeff Bezos. Hence they hate the democrats and their “socialism”. But it is brainwashing because your taxes aren’t going to get smaller under the republican government. It will get bigger. It just happened after Trump put in worse tax polices and left office didn’t it? You’ll pay more and it will go to the billionaires while you still aspire to be like them even when they are the reason you will never get there. The ultra wealthy who have sold you (generic) the idea of a free market economics only love when it favors them. When free market favors the common man, they move quickly to stop it. Reminisce on GameStop if you would. The so called free market is rigged from the beginning to never let you get past a certain level in life and you will never see it because you think you’re closer to Elon Musk in wealth rather than the poor man who makes $50k/yr who truly is more your financial peer even if you’re making multiple 6 figures. If we’re looking at California to see what’s going on. Can we be truthful about how we are your sugar mommies please? We give you money and you send your homeless to us because you don’t have social programs to take care of them. Yet you turn around to insult us. All the conservatives states are the biggest loser states in America. Draining the country financially without adding as much money back to the economy. Depend on us and New York for handouts yet have everything to say against handouts. 1 Like 2 Shares |

cococandy: Ma'm, substantially all you've said above is wrong, I don't even know where to begin. I'll pick just two. (1) If my friend is so brilliant, why didn't he stay in his own country and make it better? OK, if we can justify his coming here, can we justify him now calling the country racist, the same country that admitted him and gave him opportunity? I repeat, Igbo people have a high tendency to gleefully make fools of other people and exploit their kindness and fairness. We both know the high levels of fake marriages to Black American women for Green Cards and many other forms of cheating the system. (2) In an earlier post and in this immediate one, you keep blaming Republicans for economic woes in the USA. We can agree that the Great Recession of 2008 was an economic calamity. Here is what caused it - https://www.nytimes.com/1999/09/30/business/fannie-mae-eases-credit-to-aid-mortgage-lending.html The Democrat Clinton Administration claimed that racism was preventing Black Americans and Hispanics from buying homes. So he enacted new rules FORCING banks to use LOWER CREDIT STANDARDS in granting loans so that generally poorer non-White Americans could benefit. So many Blacks and other Americans rushed to buy homes. The Democrat made regulations were so bad that they inspired NINJA loans. Eventually many people couldn't repay the loans and banks crashed and took the rest of the economy with them. An interesting thing is that Black Americans had the HIGHEST DECREASE in homeownership during the Great Recession. Worse, our home ownership rates today are LOWER than before the crisis. Every other race has recovered and surpassed their pre-Crisis home ownership rates. Reminds me of how Democrats destroyed Black American families with welfare programs starting in the 1960s. Carry on though. I hope you look into this topic and understand what the issues are.
Good Luck to Nigerians. |
Re: Nigeria Gets $751.88 Million From Recently Approved World Bank Loan by cococandy(f): 6:19pm On Jul 17 |
Since you yourself left your country, should we say you’re not brilliant because you didn’t stay to fix things? And let me get you correctly, only Igbo people are the ones complaining of racism in America? Of all the minorities from all over the world who experience racism and talk about it, only Igbo people are the ones you singled out to disparage? I don’t know where this is coming from but it’s very surprising to say the least. Apart from politics of economics, you can’t think of any other reason why anyone would hate the Republican Party? Even though you have women in your family who (if the repubs have their way) would be relegated back to bare foot and pregnant needing a man’s signature to own property or bank accounts. That Republican Party? It really tells a lot when people disregard important issues because they feel it doesn’t affect them directly therefore there’s nothing wrong with it. Are you not paying attention or do you just not care? Project 2025? Not to mention that you’re the one spouting republican propaganda in the name of facts. This is Not to minimize the problem that black men were and are to their communities. That’s a topic for another day. But as long as we are being sincere about race, you have adopted the slave masters point of view on this issue. Welfare destroyed black families even though white families received more welfare? I’m sure it had nothing to do with the imprisonment of black fathers. Some for the mere possession of weed while the same white people own weed dispensaries today. They pumped crack into the black communities and locked them up for it but white people are receiving help for opioid dependence. This same system is the one that’s not rigged? You don’t think the low rate of black ownership of homes has anything to do with race? Prejudiced Lending practices? Employment bias based on trumped up criminal convictions? Young children railroaded into jail and prison so that they have a criminal record by the age of 21 and thus have limited employment opportunities and thus low income prospects which then cascades into poverty in their future? Yet there’s no system racism. Indeed Just because you are successful doesn’t negate these facts. Being successful can’t make me blind to the truth. And The truth is that the effects of white people’s colonialism is still remnant in our minds until today. That’s why a lot of us overlook the things they do. And you don’t understand why African Americans can’t do the same. White people are worshiped in your country Nigeria when they live there but treat us like crap when they can get away with it and your solution is for us to be grateful because they allowed us into a country that doesn’t even belong to them. This was not on my bingo card for 2024. IbeOkehie: 2 Likes 1 Share |

cococandy: I mentioned Igbo because I'm Igbo and I know my own people very well. The 1994 Crime Bill is widely acknowledged as the biggest cause of mass incarceration of Black Men since Jim Crow. The 1994 Crime Bill was written by Joe Biden and it was Donald Trump who has struggled reforms to reverse some of the most egregious effects of it....check out the First Step Act. Since you cite criminal records as an important part of systemic racism, you would do well to look that up. 1994 Crime Bill. Just Google. This is why debating liberals is so often futile. No facts at all, just sentiment. It's OK though. Good Luck to USA. |

IbeOkehie: This is exactly the same question Ronu people ask Igbos across all social media. If you are so brilliant, why did you leave the Southeast to eke a living in the Southwest? This very question is what ADOS ask black Africans, especially Nigerians. If you claim to be so intelligent, why didn't you apply the intelligence to Africa rather than move to the US? OK, if we can justify his coming here, can we justify him now calling the country racist, the same country that admitted him and gave him opportunity? I repeat, Igbo people have a high tendency to gleefully make fools of other people and exploit their kindness and fairness. We both know the high levels of fake marriages to Black American women for Green Cards and many other forms of cheating the system. It worries me because I am Igbo, otherwise, I would not be bothered. The man who drives my mom to wherever she goes openly stated that the natives of the state are lazy people and don't have money. Meanwhile, this same man made his money from that very state, has a house there and resides safely. He cannot reside in his village in Anambra for two weeks because it is dangerous. He stated this himself. My mom rebuked him because it is absurd for you, an Igbo man, to leave your state and move to another place where you make your money and live safely only to accuse the natives of indolence. If you were so hard-working, why didn't you make it in your state and live there? I wrote about it here: Gerrard59: Many Igbos these days have a lovey-dovey approach to life. Well, things have changed, hopefully, they change too. Else, they will flog them not just with raw cane, but canes laced with pepper and charms. That was what most of them got during the elections in Lagos. If they like, let them continue. I will be here to gloat. I am very good at it. 1 Like |

cococandy: Will higher taxes really help the poor? Will squeezing the rich really help those at the bottom? Though I am apolitical, I have always been right-wing due to my love for economics. The rich isn't the reason why many in the US are poor. More taxes won't make things better Look at African Americans. The reason why crime and poverty are high in that demography isn't due to the rich. It is due to the fact that about 70% of black kids are raised by single mothers. Many black authors have said as much. Unfortunately, he issue is untouchable as the black community or the women to accept the truth. I was once kicked out of a subreddit simply because I said that a black teenage bully "would by 22 be a mother of 3 from 3 different fathers." The real solution is untouchable What about education? Bad inner city schools most often don't need more money. They need better management. Many cities that have chosen the charter school route where a private company runs public schools has shown phenomenal results in test results. Parents also need to do more to ensure their children succeed. Many African-American and Hispanic parents are simply glad that their child isn't killed in their hood rather than focus on their success. Success hungry Asian parents are dominating the academic tables. California has some of the highest taxes in the US, yet can not be seen in their standard of living. High property prices in California has nothing to do with the rich. It is due to restrictive planning that severely limits the amount of property that can be built. In Texas, it takes 7 days to get a building permit. In California, that same permit can take years. In the area of health care, it needs to be reformed. Economist know the solution to the high cost of US healthcare but politics and special interest groups stand in the way. Any poorly thought out solution would not fly or prove counterproductive. One way higher taxes can help everyone would be to reduce the US budget deficit and slow the fast rising debt mountain. Lower budget deficits or even balanced or budget surpluses would have a positive effect on the US credit rating and also reduce the amount used to service the debt, both in the short term and long term. When the Trump tax cuts were analysed, it was discovered it assisted in creating more higher paying jobs than before they were introduced. Prior to this period, though jobs were being created, they were more likely to be low paying ones. It would shock you that many of the poor you're advocating for when asked what they think the rich pay as taxes, they figured around 25%. Even the poor in reality don't want the rich to be over taxed. |
