The truth is, if Obi won, fuel would be expensive now.

As at May 29 , 2003, NIgeria was using 99% of its revenue to service debt. Any money that would have been used to keep fuel below N300 or even below N200 would have had to come from taking more loans and more loans. Something had to give, and unfortunately it was the subsidy.

I am not here to say that tinubu is doing the right thing, especially since he has brought back subsidy since October 2023, otherwise fuel would have been over 1000 naira as it should be, and I am not here to say that APC knows better , but the fact is, we were in a position where we could no longer afford subsidy at the rate we were doing then.

Even now, we cannot afford subsidy.

All I would say is...in 2012, we had the last chance to be rid of subsidy. But most of you agreed ironically with Tinubu that it should remain....and here we are.

If we want more working refineries and more jobs in the petrol sector, we have to have fuel sold at market price. It is not a popular message. Yes, I am just as angry with the government , and yes, APC Has failed, and yes, Tinubu is not the best president we have had.

But right now, we are not earning enough money to pay for cheap stuff anymore. And it is very very painful

Calling me a tinubu supporter or a IMF Lackey does not change the sad fact.
Wetin come concern Peter Obi for inside this matter now?

Well, considering the comment I responded to originally made assumptions that 'if we had not voted along tribal lines we would have had cheap fuel'....which is usually coded word for 'If we had voted for Obi'....

Anyway, the point of my comment is, whoever won, NIgeria was already in deep soup. Economically. And if the ideal candidate won, it would have gotten worse before it got better

(Tinubu is just making the same mistakes as his predecessors.).

What about the loan this government is taking almost every 10 to 20 days?

Your government is taking loans because we have an economy that depends on oil revenues

And right now

1.OIl does not favour us price wise. We need oil consistently above 100 dollars per barrel...and it has never been above that consistently since April 2014.

2.We are not even meeting our OPEC quota, or even Tinubu's dream plan of 4million bpd.

3. 80% Of government revenue comes from oil.

SO, loans

(The scary part is that if we eliminated corruption....the money won't be enough even then).

Well, even if he had won and implemented his nice plans for NIgeria, it would have gotten worse before it got better.

Keep in mind that the issue is, whoever won, they would have been faced with the issue of over 90% of our revenue going for debt servicing.

Tinubu is even making matters worse by paying a subsidy right now.

One thing you and the agbadorians have in common....you both want cheap fuel though. It has not been possible since 1993...

Kindly speak for yourself not obi. What you just said is like giving two people same circumstance and same amount of money and guaranting same result. It is impossible.
Even the bible tells tales of the talent.
Even in your home, give 100k each to 2 kids in 2 weeks check each ones account. One might not have a dime left while the other spent half and saved half.
All states were heavily indebted when obi and other governors took over, after 8 years, only anambra state had its books no longer in red, but in green with over 75b credit when naira was 140 to $1, an unknown fit, never done in the history of Nigeria except maybe by Baba OBJ. Fact! His successor was famously asked how he built an airport, and he was quoted to have said it was money he saw in the account his predecessor left! But that he himself wount leave a dime, as usual he blew it all, today anambra is in debt.
How can you compare someone that has ran business without government patronage, blue-chip companies also, ran 2 banks including the current fidelity bank to the other fellow? A wealthy person with no known industry, business, factory etc? Someone that ran a state, his current NSA previously accused him of "grabbing" 70% of the income of that state, his minister of aviation previously prosecuted him in court, the richest state in the country despite all it's wealth was plunged into debt. Imagine if the other fellow handled such state.

Mentioning Obi that supposedly came 3rd has already given you away as bat supporter or at the very least a sympathizer.
You conveniently opened a new account after INEC declared bat winner and pretend to sit on the fence? Or playing the patriotic citizen? Why not show your former NL accounts let's see your honest inputs from 2012? Truth is that you and your kind are the real enemies of this country.
The money looted in the name of palliatives, the billions to renovate VP house, the billions to buy yatch and cars and other frivolous travelling expenses will pay pms subsidy and change will remain.
You're already above 40 or very close. Don't be a fool Sir.

Upon his wealth, he's still living extravagant with tax payers money.

Buying jet, yacht and the ones we don't even know about.

And you call him your leader??

Nigeria is heading for recession soon, with this rubbish going on, inflation will increase and there'll be a massive cut in purchasing power which will lead to a cut in aggregate demand. Will lead to full unemployment and massive downsizing.
