Throwback : SIEC was brought into law under president Obasanjo in 2001, it has over stayed it's welcome because of massive abuse by Governors. 1998 local government elections was conducted by INEC. Those chairmen brought in this same Governors who now dissolve Councils at will. We need to go back to the grassroots, Politics is local💯 Governors settle their political thugs as local government chairmen and Councilors. SIEC needs to be abolished  Very few local government chairmen had good political career eg Emperor wicked Wike of Rivers State  , Gov Caleb Muftwang of Plateau was a former Council Boss. Autonomy in local government means nothing because they are still under the control of the governors. If a party can still win all the state house of assembly they can still win all the LG also. The truth is that they would still rig their way in. It's as bad as that. Moreso no Local Govt Chairman can go against the governor because he would be removed by the SHA. 7 Likes |

That's the normal practice in local government elections across the states but Okocha has refused to talk about the presidential election result written in his the same office. Hypocrite! In a serious country where the rule of law prevail, he would not sleep in his house for owing up to a crime against the state but less I know, everything goes in my country and some larger than the law, so far you're in the good books of the government.
