ogbonti: You do have a valid point but, my concern is usually how many years it will take a student to finish a four year course looking at this our epileptic educational system where ASUU will down tools at the slightest provocation? Employers keep asking for graduates of 22yrs with Masters degree while some are just gaining admission at that age.. I feel our educational system needs a total overhaul.. 3 Likes |

ogbonti: there are no specific requirements to take LSAT... However, candidates must be at least 13 years old. Test-takers under 18 years old need to provide written consent from a parent or legal guardian. stop saying what you don't know and mis-informing people just to defend corrupt politicians.. 1 Like |

This is why you don't put square peg in round hole. It takes a being that values something to know that genius can walk that path even as a toddler. |

ogbonti: where did samsard say vocational education is not education in his post? stop putting words in people's mouth just to dis-credit them when you don't even know that in the U.S people get jobs because they are whyte regardless of their educational qualifications and that is why that boss with only WAEC also has a boss ahead of him with Bsc and other degrees.. there is big emphasis on degrees abroad that is why they are employing migrants with Bsc and higher degree ahead of their population who don't have Bsc and any educational qualifications.. |

codemaniacs: everyone reading your post who is living in the US right now for at least 5 years know you are talking nonsense my niece's supervisor at fedex here in California is a 26 year old "BLACK" lady making $95,000 a year - she only has GED and she has been with FEDEX since she was 18 years old . So stop misinforming people. Meanwhile I know of a guy in Texas who has a degree here in the USA AND he is driving UBER right now |

samsard: How many people even graduates will have the chance in life to become CEO of a fortune 500 company - MR. AMBITIOUS NIGERIAN? With the way your country is milling out unemployable graduates every year? you may have to create 20 million fortune 500 companies so all your graduates can seat there as CEO with their worthless certicates Oga, I live in the real world - you do not even need a degree to be the best in anything you do in life- you need a lucrative skill set. Mark Zuckerberg is a Harvard drop out - he did not need that paper certificate to found Facebook - guess what - when he succeeded with facebook- Harvard invited him to give him a honorary Ph.D and for many years he has been employing Harvard graduates to be his workers - the so called graduates - Bill Gates nko, drop out from Harvard - he did not need degree to be the Founder of Microsoft - Steve Jobs nko, drop out - he did not need a degree to found Apple Computers - the maker of the iPhone all your Nigerian graduates cant even afford. What about your Aliko Dangote here in Nigeria? which school him go? and the other day he was employing Masters degree holders to drive his trucks abeg shift- if you have nothing meaningful to say go sleep - biko |

These backwards nor_therners should stop making laws and rules that will hinder the academics speed of other states. We don't have same speed with them. They should move at their own pace and let others maintain their speed too. |

"that the law required that their children should be in school at 18 years, having attended six years in primary school, three years in Junior Secondary School and three years in senior secondary school." The law is clear on this! If a child starts primary school at the mandatory 6yrs, will he be able to finish secondary at age 16yrs? That what they should be asking private schools and most parents rushing n pushing their kids to jump classes or write common entrances/waec in primary 4 and SS2... To me the law must be applicable to all n now! |

PlasmaTV: You are not making sense using words. What’s clueless about setting the record straight. If u like be in SS3 or finish secondary sch and u move abroad u will be put in same class where ur age group is. You can not jump the gun. But when Nigeria decides to apply the law u all scream cluelessness but the truth is that u are the clueless one. Check the class age of student around the globe and you will than Nigeria for not effecting the rule a long time ago. #IfCluelessWasAPerson |

ogbonti:Oh, let me guess, all the engineers at Qualcomm, Apple and Microsoft as headed by Steve Jobs and the rest are college dropouts? Steve Jobs was more of a manager than a technical or science person. And forget that thing about CEOs being college dropouts, those are a small minority in the grand scheme of things because statistics shows that most founder CEOs and top management have proper formal education and advanced education. Those men still need people with proper certifications and formal education for a lot of things and they educate themselves privately, which is not something everyone is capable of. Even in America, a lot of their college grads are more of liberal science Grads who would be considered "unemployable". You don't sound like you're saying anything remotely meaningful either. Taking a niche case and making it sound like the norm |
