Hi guys. I am urgently in need of your help. I want to invite my mum over to the UK to help with my newborn. The information on her passport doesn’t correlate with the one I gave during my visa application. The surname on her passport is different from mine. My dad : Kayode James Gbadamosi My mum : IYABODE Dorcas Gbadamosi Me: Agnes Blessing Gbadamosi…, That’s the information I have on my visa application. On my mum’s passport : Name: Iyabo Dorcas James Her date of date is also incorrect. Do we need to apply for change of name? Or can I just explain? And submit some documents where her surname appears as Gbadamosi? PLS HELP ME @Cashmadam @ Giselle |

Agnesbee: If the name and date of birth on her passport are incorrect, then let her go to the passport office to amend it. |

Agnesbee: If she has NIN, stick to the names on her NIN and ensure her passport has the same names in the same order. |

Bacteria8: Yes. A family member will be better. She needs to give the person a letter of authorization. The person should take a form of ID along. |

Good evening guys. I've been a silent reader here. I applied for UK visitor visa 6 months on 26th June, and I just got a refusal mail. Please I need the guru's in the house: Cash madam, Giselle, etc. to please look into their reasons and tell what they mean Honestly. Because I really don't understand the reason. Thank you

arikk001:You will overstay your visa as economically you have nothing that would compel you to return to Nigeria… starting from your salary of 84k… asin 40 pounds… they can not give you the visa…. Also your reason to want to visit UK with the information you provided, is not making sense to them. All in all, you do not seem like a genuine visitor and they will mot take a chance to issue you the visa. pls dnt reapply until you have better circumstances.. financially 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hi Giselle, thank you for your response. I really appreciate. For purpose of visa, I explained that I was going for vacation, which included sightseeing, shopping etc. For my financial/economic circumstances, I stated that I'm employed as a civil servant with 84k+ monthly. I also noted that I receive 250k monthly allowance from my husband for my personal upkeep as additional income. I also received rent income of 490k from my tenant in one of our properties ( I showed deed) I submitted my personal landed property document and 2 landed properties owned by my husband and I. From my closing balance of 1.7 million I said I was going spend 500k personally but my husband will sponsor the rest of the expenses for the trip. But the ECO still said my documents have not demonstrated compelling economic incentive to my home country. So the incomes I receive on a monthly basis does not really make sense? And my husband's sponsorship subsequently does not help my case? Wow! That means I need to have what sort of income range then before they can see me as economically viable? Id giselle237: |

Good day Gurus, Please am currently worried with respect to my bank statements and how to go about it as I plan to apply for UK visit visa soon. I currently have Naira (salary account) and Dollars account. The funds in the dollars account is way more than what I have in my Naira account. As a matter of fact, I don't have up to 400k in my Naira account but have enough in my Dollar account to cater for the proposed trip. I earn roughly 600k monthly but have my funds saved up in Dollars which is also made up of random funds I get from other secondary sources. Please advise me on which account to tender and if I can tender both. Incase am to tender my salary account, would the current balance not be an issue? Please. |

arikk001:This might be where the problem lies. The eco specifically said in the refusal letter that you have not portrayed a compelling financial picture as well as personal circumstances… everything looks wishy washyyy Originally you can not afford the trip. This is true. Because you earn 84k You then now tried to combine all manner of incomes to boost your financial position inorder that the ECO will give you visa, but instead they either got confused or saw this and were wary. I mean why combining 84k + personal income from husband + mysterious rent of 490k which I presume is annually… The financial picture will make anyone skeptical Then again you said you will sponsor your trip with 500k and another money from your husband. They have seen that you never had money of your own in the 1st place to afford this holiday as your personal circumstances too low. Then to make matters worse… you just feel like vacationing and shopping in the UK, they expect you can go somewhere else with this lack of stable financial resources and do not necessarily have to come to the UK to vacation or shop. I don’t think reapplying with all the join join is necessary except your husband can confidently sponsor your trip and has a very good financial picture. OR You make your own money and have better personal finances and retry Perhaps if you also have kids you can present their own side of the story and say they will be staying back. How much does your husband earn monthly and did you provide his own financial statements to them perhaps to convince them that he is more than an odogwu and you would not go to the UK to become a liability and seek recourse to public funds? If you did not provide his financial picture including his bank statements, payslips, evidence of the origin of his funds and think they will rely on your word of mouth and him transferring funds to your account…. Then no 1 Like |

@coolhaywhy You have to tender both. However what exactly is random funding from secondary sources?? You should also add all paper evidence as to how the funds originated and how you moved all the funds and how you changed them to dollars as the naira is now volatile. Also write a cover letter to explain yourself In the additional information part of the form, tell them to please look at your cover letter as you have provided more information as regards your finances there. |
