No. I am actually trying to assess if it is worth waiting for a bonus or taking the capital gains.

A Big Gamble, no matter how some people hate hearing reality check that help some other people err on the side of caution.

Oando remains a gamble because the cloud of Delisting still hovers over it.
All that Court did was to order the cowboy to go and reach accord with the minorities.

This is victory for shareholders because it strengthens their negotiating hand against the cowboyz. For one, #7.07 delisting is dead and buried because accord cannot be reached on that term.
On the bad side for shareholders, the rigging of shareholder votes is the easiest thing in the world..

So, all eyes now on Wale's Desk for his response to the Court outcome.

* If he announces an immediate shareholders meeting venued at the edge of Sambisa Forest or at Yankari Game Resort or on Gembu Platea Resort overlooking Cameroun, in Gongola State, then he will get his ratification for delisting.

*But if there is a Press Release declaring
that Shareholders Meeting is no longer necessary because
Delisting is no longer on the table, then the Oando stock Bus will turn to a Rocket and soar over #100, other things being equal.

In the absence of this renunciation of delisting, even the Deal Signing event somebody is smelling above will not produce more than a 2 days bull.

If your intention is to sell. You can sell your original holdings as long as you are selling after the qualification date. Then anytime it comes no wahala. Some takes real long time. You may not even know till you check your cscs statement not your in-house account with your broker. Some will even appear in another broker you don't want if you have different broker with the same CHN for all your broker

It’s probably on a case by case basis.
WEMA rights issue closed on December 29, 2023 but was listed on NGX just 4 days ago. That’s roughly 6.5 months.

I don't know o. I didn't even know that this one existed. Nairametrics was the only media in Nigeria that knew about it. Check back the recent pages, there's somebody who explained the two dates. But it's not likely that Oct.10 will counter this one.

Yes I have noticed it with 3 of my brokers because I have the same CHN.I have holdings in another broker and bonus reflecting with another broker. It looks the CHN is the most used detail in this business.

Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has condemned an online report criticizing the quality of its products, adding that its refined diesel is 80% superior to those currently imported into Nigeria.

In a statement released by the company’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, on Friday, Dangote Industries Limited called reports of producing high-sulfur diesel “mischievous and aimed at tarnishing our reputation.”

Recall that reports circulating online, made by NMDPRA CEO Farouk Ahmed, claim that local refineries, including the Dangote refinery, are producing inferior products compared to imports.

Reacting to this report, Dangote said the allegation was false, baseless, and mischievous.

What Dangote is Saying
The spokesperson said the refinery is designed to produce top-quality petroleum products that meet strict international standards.

“The false and misleading allegations made by some media outlets that the Dangote Refinery is producing substandard diesel which is why it reduced the price by 37%, is baseless and mischievous.

“Until late last year, diesel imports into Nigeria were up to 7,000 parts per million (ppm) of Sulphur which has been going on for many years. Our diesel is produced currently at significantly lower levels of Sulphur; as such, we find baseless the allegation that the reason for the reduction is linked to quality. What we are producing is 80% of what is being imported into the country.

“Another inaccurate assertion is that Medium Level Sulphur diesel is meant for off-road use. This is a completely false statement as this would have invariably meant that all the imports for the last 20 years have been damaging equipment.

“Thirdly, diesel imports for the high Sulphur grade have been at significantly higher prices until we started operation. If indeed high Sulphur diesel is sold at lower prices how come we never saw the lower prices until now?” the spokesperson said.

Chiejina affirmed that the real reason behind the Dangote diesel price reduction was principally due to the patriotism of the management to the nation as well as prevailing market dynamics of supply and demand.

What you should know

In June, the management of Dangote Refinery accused NMDPRA of aiding the importation of “dirty” diesel and jet fuel into the country.

The Vice President of Oil and Gas at Dangote Industries Limited, Devakumar Edwin, said the indiscriminate licensing from the regulator made it possible for there to be inferior products in Nigeria.

According to Edwin, despite Dangote’s effort to meet ECOWAS standards, the authority gives licenses to traders to import high-sulfur petrol from Russia into the country.

He explained that since the US and UK have issued a cap on Russia’s petroleum products, these products are now dumped in Nigeria’s market by various traders.

In addition, the leadership of the mega refinery also accused International Oil Companies (IOCS) of price manipulation, aimed at undermining and sabotaging the refinery in the market.

This is one of the reasons I doubt if this country can be good again.

At the end, 'they will tie it to low quality crude imported by the Dangote refinery, and they will ban him from imported crude. He will then be at the mercy of the 2 litters sold to him by NNPC'. I guess that is their play book.

Where are the results of the test conducted on the product? They should show us at least three different results. Is it not this country that when you buy petrol today, it is yellow; buy tomorrow, it is colorless; buy next tomorrow, it is brownish....? Some will be smelling like wetin I no know.

Afterall, it is not the same quality of petroleum products they sell in Europe and elsewhere that they sell to us.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Raider76: 9:07am
The fight between Dangote on one hand, the oil cabals and corrupt government on the other is too big for us to influence. But we the citizens and consumers will be the beneficiary or the loosers defending on the outcome. Dangote said he fought all his life and still has the strength to fight on. We know what he did in cement and the outcome.

We can only pray that the evil forces that every now and then close their petrol stations, force us into panic and endless ques, sometimes sleeping in our vehicles, loosing large amounts of man-hours and even lives, until their demands of price increase, bridging cost or petrol Import debt are paid, will loose this fight. Let's pray that the government agents that collude with then and take their share will loose this fight. Let's pray for a saner country with abundant fuel supply at a fair price where nobody profitiers and gets enrinched on the back of others. Amen.
