Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka has described the United States, US, Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump as a consummate liar.

Soyinka said the former US president is a menace and a danger to the world.

He spoke with TheNEWS as part of activities to mark his 90th birthday.


According to Soyinka: “But he did one thing. He studied and he understood the American psyche.

“And he knew the right chord to tweak in order to get them on his side, to get them to believe anything that he says.

“I don’t think the world has ever known such a consummate liar like Donald Trump.”
