Hello, thank you for this(and congrats?!?!?),

and

Just to confirm you're in category A?

I only hear about the category thing here. In UAE, book appointment and wait for like 2 months for ur interview. Really don't know why it's that way in Nigeria or in other places.

It depends on your purpose to the place. If you plan to stay for a long period, even with your sponsorship letter, you need to use Category D.

Citizenship. With the new German law, you can get it in 3 years. Your masters study is counted

When you enter with the opportunity card, your plan is to get a job that qualifies you for the Blue card visa. 21 months after working, you can apply for Permanent residency if you have B1 German. With C1, you can apply for citizenship if you've lived in Germany for 3 years with a valid residence permit starting from June this year. That's why students can get PR if they have B1 German after school, and can apply for citizenship a year after school.

Ps: this new rule started in June 2024.

Did you deferred your admission.
Cos I assume the program you applied for would have almost concluded.

hello, pls I had my interview on the 3rd of May but couldn’t get blocking confirmation before that day and was told to bring it on/before June 3rd but the blocking confirmation/document still wasn’t ready but I went to the embassy regardless. A lady I met there (a staff/interviewer) said I should write an email stating the issue and also attach the email trail between myself and the bank (fintiba /Sutor) and that when the document is ready I should also attach it to the previous email I sent which I did immediately but I didn’t get any automated response/acknowledgment for the first email. The blocking confirmation is ready and I’ve attached that to the previous email but it’s still radio silence and I don’t know what to do. Is it advisable for me to visit the embassy or should I just wait and hope for the best I’d appreciate inputs/advise. Thank you.

Also, is it possible to try and book visa appointment date despite the fact that you are yet to receive an offer of admission, just to be ahead because of the struggle of getting a date and all, to be on a safe side. Please someone that have ideas regarding this should help out. Thanks

If you've truly been following the thread, then you must have seen the answer to that question. It's been said multiple times in each page

This is how it works in Germany concerning citizenship, students cannot get Permanent Residency if they have B1 after school, you have to graduate and get work permit called 18b or 18d, if the job pays high you get EU blue card and work for two years or for blue card 18 months before you apply for PR, secondly you cannot qualify for German citizenship by having C1 and graduating from school, you must transit into work permit, get PR to apply. 3 years is for those married to German or come to Germany on EU blue card or 18b start working immediately and transit to PR and having C1 already, they can apply for citizenship after 3 years.Time of student period count but you must have work permits then work for two years to qualify for PR then apply for citizenship, as a student you can’t achieve this in 3 years.

They're not. Only category A and family reunion have been getting dates for over 4 weeks now. They alone have reasons for stalling the AD for CAT B

If you are sure you booked an appointment August 2022, go ahead and send an email to them. Attach your reference number

Ausbildung has a different application category. It's also more than 12 months
