This is state election. Obaseki has been receiving huge amount on monthly basis and with monthly IGR of close to 5b, what has he done. Obaseki was so bold to tell edolite that he spent 1b in the first month for free bus ride with the first 2b out 5b Tinubu released to all state governors last year. Buses of less than 20 plying within the Benin city metropolis. Politics is local and any governorship election without rigging is always judged by the performance of the incumbent governor, expecially out going one who want his annionted candidate to win. Edo case will not be different. Last year Obaseki also collected 55b on behalf of the 18 local government of the state from federation account. Visit or ask anybody who reside in any of the LGA if their are development. Losing the legacy party and deputy to Apc and with his failed performances, is a walkover for Apc candidate. Ask any truthful edolite about the legacy faction of pdp, led by Dan Orbih. They paved way for his smooth entry to pdp and subsequently victory. He got re election and started to fix those his loyalist from Apc in most the state working committee and LGA party level. Last year same legacy worked for Apc and Labour party. Pdp only won one rescheduled house of rep in Edo state out of nine and no senator. That is the first time. Apc had 2 senators and six house of rep. Leave out emotional politics cos it that work. We are unique in Edo when it comes to election. We don't determines candidate by party. Oshiomole is still loved till date. We voted Obaseki then because Ize iyamu was not a choice. He worked with Lucky Igbinedion has chief of staff and later SSG and nothing he contributed to the growth of Edo and even his local government.
