Strictly speaking, I prefer reading to watching TV. And once in a while, if I wanted to chill myself out. I watch Hollywood movies, Chinese and Japanese (the likes of Rorouni Kenshin) and my favourite genres: Action, Thriller, Adventure and fantasy. I hate romance all the way, one of the reasons I dislike kdrama.

This is not to disrespect Nollywood in anyway. They are fantastic in Africa but on a personal level. I just can't flow with the plots in Nollywood movies.
Uh! Except the 80s-early 2000s. I really enjoyed movies in the days of Herbert Ogunde, Duro Ladipo, Afin Obo, Oyiboyi, Yemi My Lover, Ajileye, Epo gingin, Baba sala, Baba Suwe, Koledowo, Aluwe , Nkem Owoh, Sam Loco, Chiwetalu Agu, Kanayo o Kanayo, Hanks Anuku Vinvent Obi and many more who used to bless our screen during the days of video cassette. Those were the movies we watched whenever my father was not around, because, he was all about the foreign movies to improve our grammar. The likes of Ali baba and the Forty thieves, the seven voyages of Simbad, phantom forces, The 7 Ninjas, The thief of Bagdad, Willow, Ever After, Charlie's Angels, Rambo, Terminator, Show down in lil Tokyo, The mask of Zoro, Lion heart, Rocky Bilbao, Sholey, Mard, Don(Amitabh Bachchan) and so many more.

Well! That's by the way. Now the question is: What exactly is wrong with Nollywood?

Those days, the darkest erotic scene would be just two people under the duvet, no kissing, just slight hugs.
No indecent dressing. No vulgar words.
As a matter of fact, Nollywood was very safe for children back then.
Those actors used Nollywood to represent the African culture. They protected our values and our traditions.
And even in those days, despite the maturity of our age. Whenever a romance scene came up in a movie. We would excuse ourselves with impelling alacrity because, we didn't want to see the abominations.
I remember when I was in the higher institution and I saw a naked body of a woman for the first time. I ran out and never looked back. I thought I was going to die the way my heart jumped.
That was how my parents raised me. I even thought I was going to be a Reverend Father.

Now, Immorality has entered our living room and it's shocking that no one is doing nothing about it. Parents! Are you comfortable with the way your kids are turning out?
Okay! Someone sent a video of compiled nude scenes in Nollywood movies into the group so, you can know which movies to avoid seeing with your children.

These are the few that I could remember from the compilation. I mean, scenes with fully naked or unclad women.
This is not South Africa. Nudity isn't our culture. The erotic scenes are not necessary in the movies. I think there is a body that is responsible for censoring and all that.
Where did that body go?
Nigerians are gradually losing it and no one is saying shit.
If you had ever visited the Darkweb, you would see sex videos of Nigerian kids 13, 14, 15, 16 . And you'll be disturbed because, what is a kid under the age of 18 doing with kiss and sex? I don't understand. When I was 16, mere kissing never crossed my mind not even once. I just wanted to pass Additional Maths and Technical Drawing then gain admission.

So, when I saw the video. I kept wondering when and how Nollywood became this unpleasant.
I don't know why the media is promoting nudity and sex. Many of the podcasts are useless, no educative topic. It's all about sex , sex and sex and sex, those bunch of godforsaken retards. And your kids are on the Internet. They see and hear these things , and they go into their subconscious minds. And they start acting them. This shit is programming.
Now, my question is , why are they doin' this?

I could remember back in our days. There were several educative programs. Many people would go for a physics or mathematics contest on a TV or Radio program. And the first position would be given a tangible gift.
Where did all that go?

Parents, know this : The Internet space needs parental guidance, and if you refused to give your children close marking.
Other people on the Internet will help you give them, and I'm sure it won't be what you want.

These western parenting style cannot work in Africa. Many of you parents are so unparenting.
I'm not saying you should always beat your children or act like stray dogs. But your children need to fear you. Respect is not enough. The father is known to be the authority figure, but some fathers have reduced themselves to their children's play thing.
My father disciplined me to an extent that I thought he wasn't the one who birthed me. My father is 80+ now and I still fear and respect him a lot. That doesn't stop me from loving him, we are now very close and we talk a lot, now that I've understood him.
I've said it that my parents are the gods that I see face to face.

Some of you are scared that being firm will make your children hate you and they won't take care of you at old age. My father never had that fear. He used to tell us that His God had already provided everything he was going to eat even before he was born. And at 80+ he still got doings. Bought a new SUV last month, with his own money.
I already said any kid of mind who moves mad at any slight. I no go follow am talk too much, I dey from there carry am go army barrack make them mend am.
As long I'm fulfilling my responsibility as a father, ensuring they don't lack any good thing . Haha! Them too gats respect themselves.

Finally here is someone raised by great parents.
It's the same with me. As old as I am. Last year when we all gathered at home for Christmas. I didn't even sit with my parents to see movies at all because I'm was not comfortable with seeing movies with kissing scenes with them. At least, I knew the kinds of movies we have these days.

At this age I don't feel comfortable seeing a naked or a half naked people in movies. And porn extremely disgusts me.
Truly we might not be perfect. But as parents, how do one feel comfortable with these current moral decadence of sexual indiscipline and lack of respect for the elderly.

During our days, we dared not disrespect our elderly ones but look at what we have now. These kids disrespect anyone and have no regards for age. They insult people who are old to be their fathers on the social space.

There used to be something called Operation Burst or something like that. They were in charge of mending anyone with indecent dressing those years. I remember they publicly flogged one of my coursemates then for indecent dressing. He came back and gave us the gist.

Even in movies, teenagers acting a romance scripts and even kissing. What does a 15y/o girl know about romance? Where are their mothers? Which director is pushing such plays?
What are they trying to teach kids their age?

Parents are losing it. The western parenting style cannot work in Africa.
