The Progressive Decline Of The Nigerian Economy: Cause For Concern - Peter Obi by Racoon(m): 5:05pm On Jul 22, 2024 |
When Nigeria returned to democratic governance in 1999, it maintained an average GDP growth of about 6.72% for 16 years from 1999-2014. The impressive growth trajectory, unfortunately, was not sustained by the then-new government and our GDP growth collapsed to 2.79% in 2015 and then sank into a recession in 2016 with a negative growth of -1.58% and 0.82% in 2017. For the past 9 years, Nigeria's economy has seen unprecedented retrogression on many fronts.https://x.com/PeterObi/status/1815321013141246097?t=Ft8Gy-Ut_Inf205tJuJ81g&s=19 nlfpmod 56 Likes 6 Shares

Meanwhile, one druggie and certificate forging disaster of a man is saying "nah statistics we go chop chop?", and blabbing "take away their recruitment sources and reduce their purchasing power" have ended up bastardizing the economy of a nation. Now here is the abysmal state of things 90 Likes 11 Shares

helinues:You wey understood nada. Reports showed our GDP in 2023 stood at $375 billion with a per capita of $1700. In 2024, our estimated GDP declined further to $253 billion with an estimated per capita of $1087. These trends and figures show how our 9 years journey since 2015 has resulted in a sharp decline in our national prosperity. Today, poverty is pervasive and on the increase. Unemployment is rising. Food inflation has skyrocketed to over 43%. Foreign and local investors are losing faith in the future growth of our economy and are leaving in large numbers. Businesses are shutting down. Urgent actions need to be taken to salvage the nation from further economic collapse and move it from consumption to production! However, instead of concerning ourselves with all these challenges threatening our collective existence and finding ways to recreate an inclusive and sustainable economy, pull millions of people out of poverty, and return our nearly 20 million out-of-school children to schools, our leaders are more concerned with funding their selfish luxuries and individual lavishness, while throwing blames at others who are only committed to solving the nation's problems. 63 Likes 5 Shares

Racoon: You see, that noted was a bait for you Obidients as you are just too emotional about politics matter. So Peter Obi raised some points which might be useful for the development of Nigeria, our own country, were you expecting me to attack him for making this constructive suggestions? Wouldn't this same suggestions be noted if it was to be from another person apart from Peter Obi? This is a confirmation of what we have been saying about the Obidients group, Obidients people, you don't welcome others ideas, if not yours then they can go to whatever. How would you win ordinary a spoon with this mentality? Btw, stop all this years of nagging on my comments. It's for your own health. 83 Likes 4 Shares |

APC is a disaster. It's clear that whatever they represent is not good for Nigeria. We can't keep APC around us anymore. They're bunch of ethnic criminals, who forgot their primary duties as leader. 26 Likes 2 Shares |

helinues:I've been observing you for quite some time. You don't have to reply every troll. Replying them gives credence to their claims of you being jobless, BTW I wonder why you reply them often. Is it that you savor their trolling or what, like I don't just understand. But then again, when referring to the obidient family, please apply decorum for the sake of veterans and senior citizens in the family like me and other numerous members. 36 Likes 7 Shares |

DamnnNiggarr: If the veterans Obidients can't call their wards to order, then they would all be lumped into this. You can not say you have not been seeing how they have been attacking others even when you make innocent comments. That's bullying which must be stopped 33 Likes |
