I am trying to propose a remedy which is for us as a country to go back to ground zero, back to a state of healthy competition without the bitterness and the hatred which has been brought about by spiteful comments about superiority. Like it or not, it is talk about superiority that brings out the worst out of us all. The only thing talks about superiority has elicited is the desire to prove the other party wrong, the desire to subdue and with it spite, hatred and rivalry. When talks about equity, equality and unity is brought to the fore, then and only then can the nation move forward.

You make valid points but sadly it’s not conceivable in reality, because you’re trying to fight human nature. Humans will always compete for resources and status. We evolved to have our identity and existence tied to belong to a group ( “Tribe”). It’s ingrained in our DNA. What you’re asking for is a more civilized society (equity, equality and unity) that is more conceivable (using other methods cos even western society still have to deal with racism/nepotism).

Tribalism can never be completely erased from an inter-tribal society like Nigeria especially when it is used as a power tool by the elites.

This is different from being the first female Nigeria Airways Pilot, which belongs to Hadiza Lantana Oboh. We also have the first Nigerian female fighter pilot, the first Nigerian female military pilot, the first Nigerian female helicopter pilot, etc. The thing is Hadiza was very popular because of her stint in Nigeria Airways. You claimed to be an aviator, but you can't differentiate between the first female pilot and the first Nigeria Airways female pilot. And before you brag about yourself being an aviator, I was practically born and raised in aviation since the mid-80s. My father is an Aircraft maintenance engineer, trained in NCAT, and was a colleague and friend to this great woman. I have seen good pilots I know die in Fixed-wing aircraft and Helicopter crashes. Captain Chinyere is not the first female pilot in Nigeria. There was Hadiza Lantana Oboh who was the first and only female Nigeria Airways Pilot as at the 80s and 90s Nigeria. She was sadly murdered by her domestic servant in 1998. She was born in 1959.
