That aside, the objective is simple, bar population, and by heterogeneity of speakers, Yoruba is the most widely spoken African language in Nigeria and second behind only Swahili in Africa

I'm always happy to see Non-Yorubas speak Yoruba even more fluently than they do their native Languages(Some of those grew up in the SW)

By 2070, we should have successfully ensure that half of the Southern Nigerians are far more fluent in Yoruba.

You be mumu man. I have a west African friend that can speak fluent Chinese, the Chinese national are always surprised anytime my friend strike up a conversation with them in Chinese and they are always happy to speak with him. It's for people to be surprised when someone from a different race speaks their language given that the language is not well spoken outside their country.

There is no big deal in speaking English language because it is a colonial language and was forced on people. If you can speak fluent Mandarin as a foreigner and you have never been to China before, a Chinese man would be surprised. Same as other languages that are not well spoken outside their country or territory.

I guess these folks haven't heard of oyinbo ibile before. That dude speaks yoruba more fluently than born yoruba folks.
