I'm confused as to why this refinery is such a babalabu. This is an unbiased post, I sincerely want to understand what is happening. At first they said that Nigeria had already sold 100% of it's oil to foreigners and in order for him to get oil he has to buy it from abroad.

Now he is saying NNPC is his problem (calling him a monopolist). I have even heard the refinery is not running.

I want to know what is happening because I don't believe he's the only refinery in Nigeria, and some of the others are functioning fine (unless they're not, idk). If any of the things I wrote prior are true we have WAY bigger problems than we're ready to address

Tinubu is of the opinion that since the refinery was set up with a majority of the country's commonwealth through sleazes between all parties involved, and bearing in mind that the South West has no major refinery, it is the right time to get one for the region with him at the helms.

Why would Dangote claim to own a Refinery and continue to cement his position as Africa's richest when BAT is still alive and the number one citizen?

All na game of thrones....

Make dem sha no plunge the country into war... grin

Tinubu jumped the refinery's fence some weeks ago and made away with valuable catalysts for refining high grade fuel.

He was caught on CCTV camera.

Now, since it will be unprofessional to expose a sitting President, Dangote decided to get compensation from NNPC by requesting for free fuel.

NNPC refused and said Buhari is still the Petroleum minister so whatever crime Tinubu comitted cannot be repaid from Northern ministry.

This angered Dangote and he released his Indian aide upon them since he didn't want to offend his fellow Fulani brother - Buhari. The Indian came with Punjabi skills but met his match in Farouk Ahmed - a hardened Mecca Jihadist with a big black mark at the top of his skull carefully concealed with cellotape and a cap.

The Indian retreated and Ahmed decided to divert all of Dangote's crude oil to oil bunkerers in Niger Delta willing to offer him 5%.

Tinubu on the other hand, fearing a revelation of his petty deeds on social media, ran to Ghana to hide and sent his lapdog, Abass to go and destroy the CCTV evidence Dangote had under the guise of National Assembly inspection.

While Dangote's Indian Punjabi aide was giving them a tour of the refinery, Abass snuck into the server room and stole the CCTV hard drive. He hid it in his boxers underneath his agbada. The drive's AI transmission affected the juju that was already concealed in Abass' boxers and battle for supremacy ensued between both powers. This was why Abass was sweating profusely throughout the tour.

Eventually, the juju disabled the CCTV hard drive and Tinubu's crime was lost forever. Unfortunately, the battle burned a hole in Abass blockos so expect him to sneak out for medical check up very soon.

Tinubu, finally relieved of this burden, returned to Nigeria yesterday and Dangote while trying to create a blockbuster post to shut down social media, realized that his leverage had gone.

Defeated, Dangote had no choice but to put his refinery up for sale to the same people that torpedoed it.

The end.

The refinery is not ready to start working, don't fall for Dangote and the government propaganda because I know someone working at the Dangote refinery and he said it will start working in 2027

Importers don't what the man to operate well, because he will reduce importation of fuel and those thieves in high places will not have opportunities to steal against.

The problem started long time ago, for like the 2nd year of buhari term, so dangote then told baba that he wanted to build a refinenary, he was then given a go ahead, lagos was not the place meant for the refinanary(someone had already said where it was meant to be) so lets fast forward to what is happening of recent, now that the refinanary is completed, their agreement was that NNPCL would have a percentage in the deal, like 20% from whatever they generate, and they will supply crude oil, so dangote then said no he wont do that because it seems too much, so he then reduced it to 7% and that if he is going to do it that he will be the only one supplying(its was alleged). So they became angry and said it wont happen

ok can you give any more details since you know someone there? If it's going online in 2027 why are they pretending it's online now and they're having issues? I have also heard it's not even online but right now every story about it has nothing to do with the next story
Re: Can Anyone Informed Explained What Is Happening W/ Dangote Refinery? by Ofodirinwa: 11:44pm On Jul 22
everyone in here has a different story lol. But so far I'm learning that

Tinubu and Dangote are fighting
Tinubu is using NNPC
Dangote has lost the fight

I'm very disappointed that the refinery was a fraud. Someone said that nigeria's oil is owned by foreigners and therefore dangote has to pay the same price as foreign exporters. Is that true?

Dangote told buhari he wanted to build refinery, buhari agreed. After, Obasanjo said the land is where dele giwa and okocha used to play ball that year that he won't agree. Beside the land, the boys that used to sell gala inside traffic jam were like they can't agree Dangote should leave. One of them out of anger break bottle on Tinubu head. Tinubu scream my head my head sanwoolu said yeeeh and Mr macaroni Sha buy 2 gala from them.

In one word, nothing! Nothing is happening. You can maybe see this as some kind of husband and wife fight that spilled over into the public domain when the wife(Dangote) felt her husband(FG) was not giving her the attention she wanted from him. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Re: Can Anyone Informed Explained What Is Happening W/ Dangote Refinery? by Olalekanbanky1(m): 6:34am On Jul 23
The thing is simple. This is how I understand:

Dangote built the refinery.
NNPC bigwigs make a lifetime wealth, importing from abroad. Dangote coming to stop this is a NO for them. They are doing all possible to frustrate, first by not selling crude oil to him. They want him to keep buying from abroad so that no one would be ready to patronize him. Dangotr too is acting like he’s trying to help Nigerians whereas we all know he’s aiming at monopolizing the refining business as well. See what he has done to cement. (These are strong allegations against him)
Also Dangote and Tinubu ain’t friends. Dangote’s dollar acquisition (to build and fund d refinery) led to the wahala that naira is facing right now. So it is pay back time. Remember that emefiele is going through fire rn as well. And Tinubu is acting innocent, whereas he’s the one behind the persecutions.

Conclusively, Tinubu na Badt guy

So the refinery will never be ready if he doesn’t buy his crude locally. Petrol pump price will never drop if he keeps buying from abroad and by so doing, his plan to make people love him is defeated. That’s why u see him shouting and crying foul everyday in the news

Re: Can Anyone Informed Explained What Is Happening W/ Dangote Refinery? by Masterchef(m): 12:45am On Jul 29
It's more like oil sector politics and corruption. The top dogs at NNPC have nothing to benefit from a working Dangote refinery, having most likely cashed out one way of the other, in the part ownership deal signed with Dangote.

It seems, the same set of guys, backed by the last cabal, deliberately fooled Buhari into prematurely commissioning the Dangote refinery, for reasons similar to the NigeriaAir shame.

Dangote has since come out to say Nigeria owns only 7% share of the refinery contrary to the 20% that the NNPC under Buharu announced to Nigerians.

Mele Kyayi and his band of thieves definitely swindled Dangote who's now probably facing cash flow problems as some of the promises made to him are not really feasible. For that reason, they must blackmail him and that's probably why the non-issue of quality came up.

Perhaps if Tinubu had not won the 2023, election, the NNPC would have today been the entity importing crude oil for Dangote until the last senseless advance sale of crude oil for cash was fully serviced.

It's logicall to assume that this was why Tinubu decided to keep Kyari in office till date. Definitely, it's not business as usual at the NNPC and for once, Dangote may have miscalculated.

Dangote is making waves! The refinery is a game-changer for Nigeria's economy. Exciting times ahead for local production and job creation. Let's keep an eye on this development!
