Lagos Students Disassociate From Planned August 1 National Protest by lexylaw09: 4:13pm On Jul 23 |
BusinessdayJul 23, 2024 2:31 PM Lagos students disassociate from planned August 1 national protest …Plan solidarity walk for Sanwo-Olu Students under the aegis of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Lagos Axis, have announced they would not be a part of the planned national protest by some Nigerians, tagged #End Bad Governance in Nigeria”. The national protest is planned for August 1 to 10 to draw the attention of President Bola Tinubu-led government to the plight of Nigerians, hunger, and rising cost of living in the country. But the students body in Lagos said they would rather have a “Solidarity Walk” to support and encourage the government of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who they said has been of great support to them. The students said their solidarity walk would also hold from August 1 to 10 to drum for peace, especially to ensure that the ugly incident of #EndSARS” of 2020 does not repeat itself. “In these trying times, it is crucial that we remember stability, peace, and constructive dialogue in achieving our collective goals”, said Alimi Idris, chairman, NANS, Lagos Axis, at a news conference at LASUCOM, Ikeja, on Tuesday.

lexylaw09:Make the students no worry at all. They can continue reading their books while the rest of Lagos who don't have the same access to education they do can go ahead with the protest. 1 Like

It's just common sense. The planned protest have been hijacked already by the fascist mob. They can always go to their regions to protest. Since they have already played their jokers by threatening violence. “Peter Obi should leave the country and run away, while we k!ll and destroy the remaining leaders from other regions, including Atiku.” 14 Likes

Kobojunkiee:Tinubu protested in Lagos state. They can also go to their own state to protest. Peter Obi can lead the protest in Anambra. While LP chairman Abure can lead the one in Abia. 17 Likes 1 Share

Notherners were paid 1,500 to drop their own protest. How much were these lagos students paid again? Well, thankfully, it's not only students that are feeling the heat in lagos. Let them face their lectures while others who haven't received any bribe go ahead with their protest for the betterment of their lives 1 Like |
