Who be you guys? You're just being over sentimental. How you're insulting me without any provocation shows that you're not any better than what you're condemning. Sanctimonious hypocrisy!

If they need yorubas as you said they would have allied politically with yorubas all these years, the way yoruba see igbos is the same way igbos take see yorubas, at end Hausa fulani will continue to dominate this country until we all get tired and go our ways

The same forum Seun has handed to the Igbo mods??

It is only on Nairaland that terrible insults on Wole Soyinka, Pa Adeboye and all Yorubas are totally allowed while Seun's mod will remove your comments and ban you for insulting Obi. 😂

Many Yorubas have abandoned the platform for Seun and his mods waiting for the right time to treat his fvck up

If you know how much the so-called whites have messed you up, you wouldn't be playing bodyguard for them.

Even the concept of 'TRIBE' you are talking about was CREATED BY THE COLONIALISTS.

Before they invaded, we did not identify ourselves by the language we spoke, but by our LINEAGE, or by our home town.

Depending on the region, the next town or village could be a DIFFERENT COUNTRY ENTIRELY, even if you both spoke the same language. If one had unresolved issues with the other, they would go to war!

It was the British who came in and said, ''If you speak Igbo, you are of the ''Igbo tribe''. If you speak Yoruba, you are of the ''Yoruba tribe''.

They did that so as to create large blocs of internal division and rivalry, that would prevent unification to drive them out. So that one large ''tribe'' would be too busy fighting for crumbs and colonial favours with the other 2 large ''tribes'', to confront the colonial invaders.

The African system was NOT like that before colonial invasions.

People migrated constantly in search of land, water resources, buoyant cities, etc, and when you migrated say from Nnewi to Oyo, you would HAVE to learn the Yoruba language and acculturate yourself.

There was no English or common lingua franca. So you HAD TO.

Even the deities they worship there, you would join them. You won't carry your own deities from your original place, because they would be useless. Every land has its own gods looking after it.

Within a a few years, you would effectively become a 'Yoruba man', plus your children. All they would speak is Yoruba.

In fact, depending on your migratory path, you could, in a single lifetime, have periods when you were a 'Yoruba man', then an 'Igbo man' and later on an 'Urhobo man'!

In fact if many of you tribalists did a DNA test, you would find that your ancestors came from a totally different place from where you are now.

While you are there forming Oduduwa, your ancestors of probably just 3 or 4 generations away, came from Sokoto.

While you are there forming Igbo Kwenu, your ancestors of probably just 3 or 4 generations away, migrated from Ijebu-Ode.

They got to your village, learnt the dialect, acculturated, and became what you would call 'Igbos'.

THAT IS HOW IT WAS, SO, TO END TRIBALISM, we need to know what it is and how it started in the first place.

A fantastic way to end it would be for the FG to subsidize DNA ANCESTRY TESTING, so that many of these foolish, ignorant, British-created 'tribalists' will know WHO they really are.

Lol the last time I checked, Moughalu's wife, Ezekwesili, etc and even Obi himself can be counted as part of Igbo leaders.

2011 actually. This was the insult Yorubas got from Igbos after giving Jonathan 5 out 6 states in SW in 2011.

Only for Jonathan to still declare that Igbos are the backbone of his administration. The biggest mistake of his political career. I still wonder why they expected Yorubas to support Jonathan in 2015. 😆

Igbos are crying because Yorubas are fighting back. They can insult other people but when faced with a dose of their medicine, they start crying.

The reason they are crying is because they insulted Buhari for 8 years and the North didn't answer them. They were only dealing with them at the polls.

Yorubas on the other hand are giving Igbos wotowoto online. Igbos are not used to playing on the defensive, that's why they are crying.
