With all these I'm seeing I can only say Igbos are lucky to be counted among the "major" tribes because it seems the Ijaws and the Igalas deserve it more. 😆

your threat ends on nairaland. Use your energy to go help people of Ondo State to fight Fulani terrorists and leave peace loving Igbo people alone.

Kc Iloanugo, come out and destroy infrastructure so we will clear your doubts. No stories.
For ever infrastructure you destroy in Lagos, you will pay back painfully.

You and your fellow touts are the ones that needs to destroy infrastructure to protest. Nigerians are not like you. They will protest peacefully.

If he says it nko. His he not right to warn some anarchist that might mix up with the protesters.
Then what is the role of the Police?

Anyways, neither he nor the Lagos Govt can do anything about that. The cosmopolitan nature of the former Federal capital is what gives it its uniqueness.

Let the police do their jobs.

Don’t Force Lagos Govt to Regret Accommodating Non-Lagosians — Monarch Threatens Nigerian Protesters
Oba Lukman Adebambo, the Gbadewolu of Araromi in Lagos, has issued a warning against protests in the state, emphasizing the potential damage to infrastructure.
The monarch suggested that the upcoming protests might be organized by non-indigenes and reminded residents of Lagos’ accommodating nature.

Oba Adebambo stated, “Whenever there is a protest, infrastructure in Lagos State bears the brunt. People should remember that Lagos State accommodates all and indigenes should not be made to regret their accommodative gesture.
“We will, henceforth, not tolerate destruction of infrastructure under the guise of protest.”
Oba Adebambo urged the agitators to seek peaceful and constructive ways to express their grievances.
“It is true that there is hardship in the country, but it is not limited to Nigeria, other countries are also facing similar experiences,” he told The Nation.
He urged agitators to seek peaceful and constructive ways to express their grievances, acknowledging the widespread hardship but cautioning that protests could escalate into conflicts.
He added, “Protest is not going to solve the crisis at hand. People should remember what happened during the last #EndSARS protest, a lot of things were destroyed, and lots of companies and government properties were destroyed.
“These are also part of what is affecting us today; the destroyed properties were built with public funds, and the money that were supposed to be used for other projects are being used to refurbish those properties.”
The monarch assured that the administration of Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu is aware of the current economic

Very useless comment from useless people that call themselves monarchs...

Lagos remains the Political now Commercial capital of Nigeria where every citizen of Nigeria has equal stake...

Lagos was majorly built by the Nigerian govt with funds from all over Nigeria and not only with Yoruba funds...therefore, Lagos belongs to ALL Nigerians, just like Abuja...

If you want to have Lagos to yourself alone, then make sure you champion the balkanization of Nigeria into as many countries as possible so that Nigerians will leave Lagos for you...and go to their individual countries.

For your information, do not lie and change the narrative; THE PROTEST IS BEING CALLED FOR BY MAINLY THE NIGERIANS ACROSS BOARD, AND PARTICULARLY BY THE YORUBAS & THE HAUSA-FULANIS, and they have the right to do so.

Why are you afraid of protests...

The EndSars Protest was a very good thing for Nigeria, and was peaceful until some of you in power today, out of the same fear on being exposed, sponsored your Oluomo thugs and Lagos Agberos to start attacking people and destroying things to discredit the peaceful protest by Nigerian Youths...

Big shame on anyone that tries to give ethnic coloration to the planned peaceful protest...

BAT and others in power today sponsored and led violent protests against GEJ govt in 2014...no one attacked them...

Attempting to stop this protest will be disastrous, as the protesters are more determined this time...so be warned...

Meanwhile, thanks to the Igbos for openly declaring that they are not joining this protest.

NO RIGHT-THINKING IGBOMAN WILL EVER PROTEST FOR BAD GOVT IN NIGERIA AGAIN...

If Nigerians have sense, we should never again allow the least of us to steal our mandate and lead the best of us again, due to unfounded primordial ethno-religious sentiments.
That is the solution...and not PROTESTS...

It's funny how people like you will pretend as though the Oba made a general threat to all non-Lagosians. His message was for those planning mayhem! I am a non Lagosian but I don't feel the slightest bit threatened because I have no intention of destroying peoples' properties in Lagos! I have no ill-will towards that great city thus I have no reason to feel this message is directed at me.

The only people who would naturally or subconsciously feel uncomfortable are those who, even if they have no intention of actually destroying things themselves, secretly hope that someone else would do it, and would cheer on such destruction when they meet like-minded fellows in private. Not so? Shame on you all.
why would I feel threatened by what the oba said? I am pointing out the fact that in Nigerian, people have to make statement about accommodating other people from the same country just because they are from different state which is wrong. Also I pointed out the fact that the endsars thing was a one time thing and not something that has occured regularly. We have had protest after that and before that and there was nothing like destruction of property. Even during the occupy Nigeria, we didn't have destruction of property, so why do they bring it up anytime a protest want to happen like it is the usual thing that happens every time.

It's not wrong to talk about hosting other Nigerians because we operate a federation and one of the principles under that structure is that everyone has what is called a State of Origin, and when you step out of that State, you become a stranger to some extent. It is also necessary on a common sense level to recognize that Nigeria is uniquely diverse, thus there are nuances in our shared existence that may be unusual in global context. One of such is that we have areas that were, generally settled by homogeneous groups with distinct cultures. For harmony between such groups, it is necessary to have some concept of behavioural boundaries.

As regards the fact that there haven't been numerous destructive protests, the fact is that as we say in sports, you are only as good as your last game. So since the last game was a violent one, what else would be expected of the next one, particularly when it is being driven by roughly the same group of people as the last time?

u don't hear such a statement in European countries except they are not united that is when u hear statement such as what the oba said. Also about the protest, there is no evidence that it is been sponsored by the same set of people. The endsars protest was lead by falz, Mr macaroni, Aisha yesufu, the dj (I can't remember her name) and some popular people who I can't remember again police brutality. It was initially peaceful until the shooting and that was when it got hijacked. Saying the same group of people, I don't know which group of people u mean but from what the spoke person of apc has been saying one will think the major culprit is obi. Remember during the endsars, obi hasn't made his intention to run for presidency and wouldn't have gained anything from sponsoring the endsars protest. Also in the past apc has a party was at the fore front of a protest against the then president when things weren't going fine in the economy but they feel threatened now when the same thing wants to happen against them. I am not in support of any form of violence during protest but the fact apc brings up endsars anytime the citizen talk about protest which shouldn't be.
