An open letter to the prosposed protesters..

Dear proposed protesters,

You have won already and I will tell you why. Without raising a finger, you have sent jittery and fear down their spines.. and they are running from post to post looking for how to appease you, albeit in the wrong ways they are known for.

They are looking for the leaders of the protest so they can bribe them into submission.. indeed a leopard never changes its spot.

They remember the current Kenyan experience which would be a child's play compared to the bottled up anger in the hearts of the young people of Nigeria. (Remember Kenya's inflation as at the time of the protest was only about 8.something... Nigeria currently sits at over 34%, unemployment and poverty rate in Kenya are nothing compared to the scary figures in Nigeria today.. Kenya does not suffer any immediate threat of hunger and food insecurity)..

You have made them jittery because all of a sudden they remember the ENDSARS when no where was safe for them.. when their villages houses became target for arson by angry young people.

You would expect the man that made the pronouncements during inauguration that put everybody is this race struggle for survival to also make a counter pronouncement to reverse self and let the people breathe for a minute.. but ego and arrogance won't let him undo his mustakes... instead his priority is inviting traditional and religious Rulers to peppersouping in Aso Rock because they think they know the two opium of the Nigerian masses - Religion and Ethnicity. But the events in the past year have shown that hunger knows no religion nor tribe..

You have won because now they have accepted that indeed there is bad governance even though they deny that it's not their tenure that started it.. they have been in power for 9+ years.. a tortuous 9+ years for the common people. young people whose only crime is that they were born Nigerians.

You have won because even the ones they are Assemblying and contracting to counter you that protest day are even more hungry than you.. but would do anything for peanuts just to put food on their ulcer-laden belly..

Prosperity would judge you right for speaking up in the face of Bad governance and calling for an end to it.

I wish you all the best and the government the wisdom to change their ways.

Imagine if South Africans didn't protest against Apartheid, or blacks in the US didn't protest against racism and discrimination.

This is why they don't want you to protest. The world will never know what's happening in Nigeria

Protests are meant to inform the world about what's happening, and put pressure on government to make changes.

The only reason the government will do anything about your situation is if it causes them embarrassment

Controlled anger is better than uncontrollable rage.

In 2020, Wike first condemned ENDSARS then later joined. Sanwo olu was trying everyday to empathize with the people until Oct 20 shootout. You have to manage people carefully. If I were the President, I will take control of the protest by attending one per geo political zone the way they used to do during campaign and answer each state, with their governor in attendance. Nigerians are very nice people as Fela sang shuffering and shmiling, if you try to show power, they will be incensed.

I am very sure the political class have not forgotten that this is not about Kenya, last year there were coups around our neighbours and Nigeria is among a few countries in West Africa standing with 1 leg. Those coups were celebrated and the support showed that people were tired of the same the same. It is not about force, this one is sense. You have to take control of your presidency Mr Tinubu, this is not something you can allow people do for you. When you attend with the state governors, you will use style to pass some of the buck to their governors in public so this diverts their attention everytime from the federal. If they are not in their states, you will call them out. This is one thing I liked about Obasanjo, he played this politics well and can throw the governor under the bus because the truth is that the states have more work to do than federal but because we have destroyed local government, everyone keeps asking for the President. This is what Buhari failed to do and take advantage of during ENDSARS. While Jide was trying his best to persuade them, Buhari was looking like, do I look like I give a fork He didn't care, to him, if you are tired of Nigeria, you can leave.

Some people are waiting for Nigeria to protest before they start their own in other African countries so I advise the President to take this carefully and not discard the idea using proaganda or counter protest.

I will simply advise this government to take signs from the 2012 protest. That protest destroyed Jonathan's government and no matter what he did, he couldn't recover from it. The President we have today is a thoroughbred politician who likely wants another term. There may be some enemies within who want his political empire to collapse, it's about time he rejigs his cabinet if he wants to survive. You can't keep talking down at Nigerians, change the approach to a more sympathetic one..Nothing beats a hungry and angry man who has nothing to lose in life. They are already jobless and life is no longer hopeful for them. If he wants to renew hope, something new has to be done to show that he is listening. Something new and practical with his team, not the old same thing from his Onanuga and Ministers who are not helping his image rn

So far it's peacefully done....

From the protest will not hold to it will hold but would be a flop.

I am not a Lagosian but I fully support Lagos people that insist that let everyone go back to his state and protest.

Over N700 billion worth of infrastructure was destroyed under the pretext of protest. Same infrastructure that Abia, Imo, Enugu Anambra and Ebonyi all combined do not have.
