You sound more passionate than we Leos sef grin. Na so the thing pepper you reach? You don't sound like a loser you sound like a citizen who has a lot of reasons to be mad.

You have me so captivated I am reading, typing a response and laughing out loud all at once. I remember when I was in Kenya, our tour guide (a young lady of university age) told us there is no difference between Kenya and Nigeria. In her words she's not sure which country is worse but we appear to be in competition with each other when it comes to corruption.

People who grew up poor have serious self esteem issues I can't understand, they are usually the ones to do the most and the worst when they come into money or their situations change just a little. I am not surprised by what you've said regarding Ruto.

The guy physically fine for my eye sha, I had no idea he is such a rotten soul. Na wao! You get bad mouth sha, see as you just finish the guy and his entire tribe 🤣. You really don't like him and I cannot blame you, at least him and his tribe can run long distance to win marathon races for Africa. I will be rooting for them come this Olympics, because I like it when African countries win a medal at the games.

You engaging back with so much energy and passion has made my day. And kudos to you for bonding well with Leos, we are cool like that, ain't we? What's your zodiac sign? Make I check something.

The thing pepper me die. Any time I file my personal and business tax returns and think of how all that money is being collected only to be squandered on meaningless dockets such as the Office of the First Daughter, I get really mad.

Kenya is just as corrupt as Nigeria. Only difference is that Kenyans commit their corrupt practices with a serious, sort of "dignified" face while Nigerians are more crude with theirs. They do not even hide it. They joke about it and some even revel in it (and hailed as "sharp guys" ). Nigerians own their corruption.cheesy
Kenyans on the hand can act all goody two shoes, will even be mocking pickpockets all the while siphoning money from your business in a "sophisticated" way. Same way they steal elections and then refer to themselves as a "model of democracy for Africa". Joke of the century. grin

Those marathon runners are always winning but you don't wanna hear the stereotypes associated with their tribe. Let me stay civil....for now. lipsrsealed
Oh, and like you I'll be rooting for the African countries. I always find myself doing that during the FIFA World Cup tournaments as well.

Leos are cool. They're never invisible. You must notice them as they're usually distinguished and command a lot of respect, naturally. True lions. wink

My zodiac sign is Libra.
Yeah. Yeah. I know. We're flowery bimbos, usually undecided, flirtatious....what else? cheesy

“Nigeria and Nigerians will be known all over the world for corruption. Your name Nigeria will stink for corruption but after a while, a new phase will come a phase of righteousness. People from the nations of the earth will hold to a Nigerian and say, We want to follow you to your nation to go and learn righteousness.”

I am calmly waiting for when the above will happen?

I won't dispute it since it is a spiritual dimension of things!

If it were to be stated that "Nigeria will become a sane and developed country", I would have said we still have a long way to go because as it is now, we are not yet ready to do things differently. And until we decide to do things differently, nothing will change.

On a more deeper view,

If I am to interpret the above prophecy, I will say that it has been fulfilled because I believe it is talking about the multiplicity of christian activities of which Nigeria is today a great influence in the world with great demand for our men of God. Just that it didn't translate into righteousness.

Now, I am interested in knowing the stereotypes associated with Ruto's tribe, please spill o. How many tribes are in Kenya? There are so many in Nigeria our diversity can be head spinning sometimes.

Pardon me for the late response. It's been a real hectic week.

Kenya has very few tribes--44, and that includes Kenyans of Asian, Arab and European descent.
Despite having way fewer tribes compared to you guys, Kenya is home to diversity as well. We're not as homogeneous as South Sudan, Malawi or Botswana for instance. We have diverse looks and cultures.

About the stereotypes associated with Ruto's people, particularly their men....Chai! lipsrsealed
1. They're not renowned for exercising proper hygiene. Smelly armpits and mouth odour be the order of the day with them. lipsrsealed

2. Then there's this talk about their inability to be romantic, especially when making sexual advances. There's this gist I used to hear about them -- that if a man from that community wants to have sexx with his wife, all he needs to do is tap her on the shoulder and say, "bring that thing here". 🤣🤣
Another one I heard was that the man would send his wife for something like a glass/cup of water and when she'd get up to get it for him, he'd put his leg across her way so she'd trip and fall, and while she's still in that "fallen" position, Ruto's tribesman will unzip his pants, lift up her dress/skirt and do the needful. 🤣🤣🤣
Another one-- they'd rather walk barefoot on hot coals than say "I love you". They cannot say it! They will not say it! They can write it, but will never say it. Their mouths lack the ability to pronounce those words. 🤣🤣

3. Another stereotype is that they love their cows more than their wives and children (who by the way are categorised as one entity 😂). A sick cow will be given priority over a sick wife or child.

Of course all these are exaggerations said tongue in cheek, but you catch the drift.
Re: Happy Birthday To Me by Farfalla(f): 12:48am On Aug 05
PS: I'm watching a crime documentary where two kids joined their stepmother to murder their own mother. I'm sitting here and thinking to myself, children are truly not worth the stress, one can live a happy and fulfilling life without them fa.

Okay Klass99. I get it. You don't want kids. Haven't we had this discussion before? 😅 I love kids though. They can be a handful but I can also attribute much of my happy moments to the silly and not-so-silly conversations I have with them, the songs we sing together, the cuddles.... you know.
I do know a lady who deliberately chose a similar path to yours but she takes care of her nephews and nieces. She seems happy too.

I can't imagine my children ganging up against me to finish me. Chai! That's a typical case of "all weapons fashioned against you have prospered". A case of "surely misfortunes and cruelty have followed you all the days of your life". Really unfortunate to have your children turn against you to the degree of wanting you dead.

Reminds me of a story I read in 2014 thereabout about a former Ministry of Lands employee who acquired vast property along the Kenyan coast (some legitimately) but he'd sell off the land acquired unscrupulously to unsuspecting buyers. He scammed people for many years and amassed a lot of ill-gotten wealth. When his 4 adult children didn't see much of that wealth trickling down to them, they decided to kill both their parents. They successfully eliminated their father, and forced their mother to go into hiding after a failed attempt at poisoning her. The woman recuperated while hiding from her children and was still under some form of protection programme when that story was being published. I remember jokingly telling my mum to sleep with one eye open. 😂

The interesting thing is that the children of that family were successful career men and women. One was a doctor in Spain or Italy or something like that. Another was a lecturer at some university in the UK. I don't remember the accurate details of the other two, but I remember thinking to myself;
1. How did 4 children unanimously agree to kill their parents?
2. How did the 4 children, living in 4 different countries successfully plan the execution of their father?
3. Who among the 4 children planted that seed of murder?
4. And how did he/she convince the other 3 to go along with it? To even think about it?

I don't seem to recall all the fine details of the story but it left me with many questions. May my children never plan my execution. Iseee....

Oh no, sweetheart, Kenya is more corrupt than Nigeria. Considering the fact that there's an office of the first daughter and we don't have that. grin
I am in shock and awe that such an office would even be created, the violent protest in Kenya is more than justified for that singular reason alone. Like seriously, what the hell? That guy may have to be taken out through a coup or assassination, because he is asking for it.

You see what we have to put up with? Speaking of a coup and assassination attempts, Ruto recently did certain reshuffles within the armed forces. These reshuffles were not even made known to the public. Who knows what rumour he may have heard that sparked the sudden reshuffles, promotions and demotions within the military? As a president would you sleep well after seeing some soldiers chopping knuckle with protesters despite being deployed to the streets to subdue them? You know you're doomed when your own soldiers are fed up with you.

There's a prophecy about Nigeria by the late Sydney Elton which gives me a strong hope and comfort about my nation. His prophecy about Nigeria and Nigerians: “Nigeria and Nigerians will be known all over the world for corruption. Your name Nigeria will stink for corruption but after a while, a new phase will come a phase of righteousness. People from the nations of the earth will hold to a Nigerian and say, We want to follow you to your nation to go and learn righteousness.”

Forgive me if I'm not as optimistic about some of these prophecies as you may be. Maybe hearing so many of them with none of them ever coming to pass has made me kinda lose faith in them. Let me just say, I never hold my breath waiting for prophecies (especially about my country) to be fulfilled. You have a lot more faith and hope for your country than I do for mine.

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!

Children are sweet and cuddly at the ages of 0 - 6. The monsters some of them turn into, like the ones you've described, is part of the reason I am not interested. These ones were very entitled and perhaps not as successful as you think. Some Africans in the diaspora are good at putting up a facade, living a pretentious and fake life of affluence.

A former boss took one of such diasporans to the cleaners and back. The diasporan (Tony) is a Nigerian living in the UK with his family, he survives by duping fellow Nigerians and others, through a well packaged but inauthentic business venture. So, what he does is to get people to invest in this business in millions, after receiving the money, the stories begin and evasiveness sets in.

He has been doing this for years and funding his family's lifestyle in the obodo, until he messed with the wrong Naija man. That boss has patience sha, he took his time and executed his plan well. The scammer was picked up at his mother's funeral in the east when he flew into the country for the funeral and transported to Lagos, then jailed. His siblings started to beg, meanwhile, they were aware that, that is what he has always done for a living. The story is interesting but make I end am there.

Some of them are in debt up to their eyeballs and can't keep up with the monthly bills over there, so their eyes are on other people's money for survival and they are willing to kill for it. Like the scammer and the four who killed their father, then tried to poison the mother. Those ones are the devil's spurn abeg, very foolish children who grew into terrible adults.

PS: The male athletes at this Olympics are such a huge turn off with their unshaved armpits, eww! It's not just the unshaved armpits, it's the over tattooed bodies, ear piercing of both ears and braided hair in some cases. The tattoos I can deal with when there's no ear piercing and the man is clean shaven like the Italian sprinter Jacobs. The rest is so off putting, it's like these men don't want to be men again and are trying too hard to be like women in looks. To further annoy me, Noah Lyles won the men's 100 meters.....I cannot stand that boy and his arrogrance, I desperately hoped he would be humbled at the Olympics by another athlete winning. I am pained at his victory grin. Yes, bad belle dey worry me some times.
Trust me, I share your opinion. I hate Lyles winning the gold with his big mouth. I was rooting for the fine Jamaican.

Pa Sydney Granville Elton was a towering apostolic and prophetic vessel in the hand of God specifically for Nigeria. This man lived in Nigeria for 50 years from 1937 to 1987, you can say he gave his life for Nigeria. Before he died he made that profound prophetic declaration about Nigeria.

I believe that just as this man saw it in the spirit years back, Nigeria is presently going through that phase of shame and humiliation. The name Nigeria is not only stinking to those afar but as we see today that it’s now having a bad odour to Nigerians themselves, such that many are now clamouring for any other state (japa) other than Nigeria.

The God I know always comes through when He says something and he doesn't work according to our wants or timetables. That is why I don't join in with folks who love to diss Nigeria and call it a shithole, they are at liberty to hold the views they do, but I know different and I know better than to do that.
