Nigerians, under various groups and organizations, are planning a nationwide protest between August 1 and 10, 2024. This movement is a response to the escalating cost of living under President Bola Tinubu’s administration. While exercising our democratic rights to protest is understood and respected, it is crucial to recognize the potential dangers and implications of this timing and context.

The current administration, not yet a year old, is implementing significant and permanent corrections aimed at improving the nation. However, an intelligence report indicates that this protest is driven by rage and anger, raising concerns about its potential to be hijacked by individuals with ulterior motives.

A premature protest at this stage could undermine the administration's efforts to stabilize the country. It's essential to understand that while the government is making difficult decisions, these steps are intended to lead to a better future. A popular saying goes, "The path to a great country is paved with trials; only by overcoming these challenges can a nation realize its true potential.”

To assist our country effectively, we must demonstrate patriotism and a commitment to democracy during the protest. This means adhering to the instructions of the defense forces and the government. The current hardships are a phase that will pass, and the end product will be positive.

The government and defense forces have been alerted to the planned protest and believe it is being sponsored by malicious individuals seeking to exploit the situation. Given these concerns, the authorities are striving to prevent the protest from turning harmful or dangerous for citizens.

Reflecting on the End SARS protest, it is evident that powerful individuals can significantly influence the course of such movements. The current protest is perceived as potentially more dangerous due to the substantial funding and influence behind it. The government is pleading with the youth to exercise patience and caution, emphasizing that a peaceful protest is a constitutional and democratic right. However, if the protest deviates from its peaceful intent, the defense forces may respond to it as a threat, leading to undesirable consequences.

To the youth and all participants, it is imperative to exercise patience and ensure the protest remains peaceful. Avoiding violence and adhering to democratic principles is crucial for the protest to be effective and for the safety of all involved. Let us come together to express our grievances in a manner that reflects our commitment to democracy and our love for our nation.

Keep quiet. He is not condemning the protest nor supporting the government; He is simply looking out for the citizens. However, you are too uneducated and stupid to understand this.
