The website created by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to accept job applications from Nigerians crashed on Friday due to unprecedented traffic.

The national oil company confirmed the outage in a statement on its social media platforms.

Daily Sun can report that this occurred hours after NNPCL announced it was accepting applications to fill existing vacancies in the organisation.

This newspaper further reports that the recruitment exercise became a trending topic on social media platforms, shortly after the announcement.

However, the NNPCL said, “Due to unprecedented traffic to the NNPC Ltd. career page from applicants applying for vacancies, the site is currently experiencing slow load times.”

“Our technicians are working diligently to rectify the problem as quickly as possible.

“Please be assured that the application process deadline remains August 20, 2024
.”

NNPC could pay you #800,000

And that would seem like big money to you

But really, is it

Your #800,000 is just $500 at $1 =#1600

Note: I'm not saying reject NNPC offer. I'm saying weigh your options because your salary is going to appear to be BIGGER the more naira loses value. SO HEADS UP!

Individuals who applied for the NNPC graduate trainee position are advised to prepare for the test with the NNPC job test study pack at the eBook section of Q and A App (Job Test category, Oil and Gas Subcategory)

Also prepare with the FREE 'Attitude test' category at the Computer Based Test (CBT) section of the App. The practice question types includes Numerical Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Logical reasoning and Verbal ability.

At Q and A App, we recommend early preparations.

Install Q and A App from Playstore

This is Nigeria bro and we earn in naira. Stop misleading people with your stupid calculations/conversion rate. Even if dollar raises to 2k, 800,000k is a big money. How many people actually earn such amount?

The previous recruitment process was largely meritocratic. The issue with the Nigerian job market is too many people (high population) and low economic growth. Nevertheless, it is not just a Nigerian thing as it happens in China and India. There, the competition is fiercer. No surprise as both nations have large immigrant populations outside their motherlands.

An American or Canadian WOULD NEVER COLLECT SUNCH A MEAGRE AMOUNT

even for the same job role

Oil companies do business in dollar...even buy oil in dollar and pay salaries in dollar...even to Nigerians working under them

as the exchange rate is falling, If you're not earning 3-4 million naira per month in an oil company, someone is cheating you somewhere. Heads up!
