The Kenyan protests were against specific stuff.

They were rejecting their govt raising taxes.

That was what united the protesters.

Nigeria’s protest is about WHAT, exactly?

“Bad governance”.

What the flying fck is that?

The problem with such ambiguous, nebulous, generalised grievance is that it is susceptible to interpretation depending on one’s financial status, economic ideology, ethnicity, etc.

So if you are from the regions who overwhelmingly voted for the current regime, you would be more inclined to give them more time to implement their agenda.

If you are from other regions, you would be less inclined to be patient, and be ready to hit the streets, while denouncing the govt as useless etc.

So you need a SPECIFIC grievance that everyone can relate to. Say inflation.

Or kidnapping.

Or power supply.

Until you become more FOCUSED, and concentrate on the single most pressing issue at any given time, you will not be united enough to hold nationwide demonstrations.

It certainly won’t be widespread as occurred in Kenya.

But good luck. 🤞

See you.
What has this government not raised?
They have raised even the Tax you referred to.
They have raised price of petroleum products.
They have raised Electricity bills
The have raised cost of food stuffs
They have raised cost of clearing goods at the ports
They have raised inflation rate.
They have raised the Exchange rates of dollars to Naira.
They are still raising the cost of governance instead of cutting it down.
They have insecurities everywhere.
All these amount to bad governance.
What else do want? For the citizens to start dying before it is called bad governance?

Meanwhile, you should preach a peaceful protest not this. Nigerians have all the right to protest for what they deem unfit for the citizens. Stop tribalizing this protest.
If you begging for them not to protest for a reason it's different thing but to them not to protest and make it a tribal thing you falled that one

Mr Man, there is inflation all over the world. It’s not only in Nigeria. Everywhere prices of everything have risen, since the end of ‘covid’.

So giving us itemised list of risen prices is pointless.

Mr Perfect. The same politicians you supported had promised the same measures, specifically removal of subsidies, that have worsened inflation.

So MANY OF YOU are protesting for political and ethnic reasons, and are HYPOCRITES.

If your preferred leader was in power, YOU would NOT be protesting, and would be attacking others for refusing to give him time to fix the country.

SO THERE IS A LOT OF HYPOCRISY, TWO-FACEDNESS, AND OPPORTUNISM in these scheduled protests.

That is why there is no unity of purpose.

I have asked to define the specific objective this protest is meant to achieve and someone was busy heaping invectives on my person. Kenya's was specific, It was against a particular policy and when the policy was reversed, the ended the protest.

In Nigeria, what is the end goal of this particular protest?

Bad governance
Hunger
Inflation

The above can never be achieved by any protest in this world, the worst you will get is to overthrow PBAT and be replaced with someone worse and the two objective above would still remain elusive and unattainable.

The best time to protest was during the elections with your votes and after elections by holding your elected officials accountable on all levels; LGA, SHOA, Senate, HOR, Governors and the list goes on.
