No, we didn't need to do another biometrics, because Canada biometrics is valid for 10 years.

CRUISEBABE:
Please after you were denied visa the 1st time, did you do another biometrics??

They might have marked your eligibility as "REVIEW REQUIRED"

Although this is not my first Application maybe that's why it's taking so much long, I don't know why.

Thanks. It looks like using the old portal is way faster than the new portal. Cos a few people here including me that submitted using the new ircc portal are still pending, going on two months 😩

Yeah at this point they should just get rid of the new portal. Not only will you have to deal with extended wait times, but you are forced to compress the shit out of your docs to meet that unreasonable 2mb requirement to the point where you risk getting denied because of illegible docs 🤦‍♂️

Hello guys, with my cgpa of 2.99/4.0 and 3.3/4.0 in my last 20courses what are my chances of securing admission for pgd political scinst memorial uni

Why Political Science? I know it is your choice but let me give you my opinion. I will rather you choose graduate certificate program in social work, community services or mental health & addiction. Your undergraduate degree can get you admission into any of three mentioned courses, even though, they are competitive. The focus as an international student should be about getting job in Canada after studying. The job market is not smiling and your chances of navigating through the labour market with pgd in Political science will be extremely difficult and challenging. Good luck!

I have a question 🙏. Can someone change their course of study when reapplying for study visa after a denial? A friend just got denied, we re thinking of her applying to a different school and course with less tuition so she can pay the full tuition before the second application.

Also, which website is faster to get gcms.note . Thanks

Yes, you can reapply also consider deferring your admission to Jan and more importantly work on your application, so you won't make the same mistake.
Thanks for your valuable responses. She has completed the new application and made necessary explanations attaching every necessary documents except the PoF side. She has also gotten a two weeks resumption extension from the school. Now the questions;

1. Does she need to explain on her SOP that she was denied visa, why she was denied it and what she has done differently?
2. She initially used fixed deposit investment certificate which was for N45m along with her N27m in a commercial bank. She has now liquidated the FD and the money will drop into her same commercial bank account on Monday. Is this total amount (N72m) enough for her two year course which costs CAD24k? Depending on the response for this, she has her car on standby for immediate sale. She will get N8m from that. Her school does not allow school fees payment before study permit issuance.
3. Can she print the statement on Tuesday and use the FD certificate/car sale agreement to explain the recent lump sums?
4. Would she be needing to do a new medicals or she can use the one she did for the previous application (done on July 1, 2024).
Thank you for your contributions.

What if i tell you that old portal has more denial rate than new portal.

Old portal seems to be reviewed by human personnel, while new portal is automated.

Again, with the old portal…you can be easily tempted to add a lot of irrelevant docs/info.

The new portal requires you go straight to the point…and once you miss it, there is likely to be delay…as it needed to be scrutinize by human advisor.

It’s advisable to send webform if your application is taking too long.

Good luck to everyone.

If he applied using your email, the confirmation email you get for the submission would have "sign in to your account" link in the body of the mail. Click on the link and it'll take you to the portal that was used.

1. Yes, she need to state all previous refusal
2. You need to calculate if that amount will be sufficient for her temporary stay, from my estimate, she will be 90kCAD. Check it from your end. She will have to explain with a document that her investment was liquidated since the money will enter her account as a lump sum within a short period of time, even if they decide to deposit it in installments.
3. Yes, she can print her statement and attach the initial FD certificate/document she used with the liquidation certificate or any relevant document to show the funds were liquidated.
4. No, she won't be needing another medical report it is valid for 1 year.
