Beremx: Some of you will just sit down from home and be typing nonsense..which farmers told you that they can't access their farms ?? So the fresh yam they sold for 10k fell from heaven ?? Or is it not from the same farm you claim they cannot access from that they still cultivate their yam from ?? I hate tinubu government but it is not everything you people will just be blaming government for... Nigerians also add to the problems of Nigeria.. People extorting each other and still blame government for corruption when individuals like them are also corrupt too.. Last Wednesday I bought tuber of yam for 3k on the mainland , then just yesterday I bought the same size of yam if not even smaller for 5k at ajah. Now you begin to wonder , why seller A sold for 3k. And seller B sold for 5k..is it not the same nigeria they cultivated the yams from?? Smh |

kufre2010:Yam and beans. And both are locally produced. I would put the blame on insecurity caused by terrorists and most especially brutal bandits |

JagabanB: Anyone with common sense should even know that is obviously a lie..they cannot access farms yet the crops were cultivated from where ?? From heaven ?? They are always blaming government for everything or trying to politicize everything |

Melagros: Seek forgiveness, Tinubu wasn't imposed by Yakubu, Tinubu won the presidential election squarely. APC votes declined from 12 million in 2019 to 8 million in 2023. That showed enough that many voters were done with APC. But the split of old PDP to new PDP, LP, NNPP and G5 gave APC undeserved another victory in 2023. Add PDP, LP and NNPP votes together and tell me your figure. Furthermore, deduct G5 votes from APC votes. You guys need to be thinking smart and direct the blames to the right quarters 2 Likes 1 Share |

blacknp: The problem with you APC supporters is that, no one dares to point any forms of wrong doing of the party. I was a full time supporter of Buhari's first regime. When I discovered no hope, I have to match break. You're quick to conclude what you don't know anything about. As at the time of typing my massage, I was already exhausted with applying fertilizer on my maize farm and just seating under a tree brought out my fone and logged in Nairaland. So, don't think you quoted the person that wears suit and goes to one office from Monday to Friday answering yes sir for 100 or 200k salary. Maybe is you who doesn't even farm sef. Na full time crop farmer that has more then hectare of functioning farm land u dey talk to so. If you need pictures or evidence, I would send it to you by Monday because I don't go to farm on Sunday. |

doyin01:Only people from a particular region make this comment yet they haven't been to the places they talk so loudly about. Take a ride through Benue and u will see people working in their farms even places with history of herdsmen àttàck and some poIiticaIIy motivated people will come onIine to say people can't access farms. |

Zwooks:I am a farmer too, and I am living in Bayelsa state. Trust me, security of farmers and their crops are the number one problem. Even as a man these days, I am frightened when I see another man or woman passing through my farm when I am working on it. Once I notice anyone coming, I will wait until the person pass the farm. If it is an unknown face, I will be very cautious for the rest of that day, because there have been stories of killings and attempted murders of people on their farmlands, sometimes by yahoo ritualists and also criminals. There is also the constant stealing of farm produces. Just last week, one woman was caught in my area for stealing someone's cassava. Several instances of theives, both men and women, have been caught and publicly disgraced for harvesting people's crops. Farmers in my place can't harvest mature plantains again because of theives. They don't wait until it is fully mature, because if you do, thieves will just go and cut it. These cases were not rampant until recent years. All these contribute to the cost of foodstuffs. 3 Likes 1 Share |
