The Devil is inferior to mankind but has devised a way to get humans enslaved by sin (we sin when we go against God's perfect Will). In the book of Genesis, satan had to first craftily lure Adam and Eve into sin before he could get them enslaved in a measure.

The enemy of your soul has discovered from history that a potent tool to enslave many is via their fleshy thirst for sexual pleasures, hence the invention of stuff like porn. The kingdom of darkness is a big sponsor of the pornography industry, which explains why porn is easy and fast to get. Porn is being utilized to enslave millions of people around the world, and like cocaine, they helplessly keep feeding on poison they are aware is killing them.

How To Avoid Being A Slave To Pornography

The aim here is to encourage you about how you can avoid coming into contact with pornographic materials as much as possible (and if you accidentally stumble on porn, how to ensure you will never go back to it). If you don't want to be enslaved by pornography, then you must purposefully structure your life to keep pornographic stuff as far away as possible.

The first thing is to willingly become a slave to righteousness. Actually, mankind is designed to be a slave to something/someone, and it is wisdom to willfully submit to what is beneficial to your spirit, soul, and body. When you become the slave of righteousness through faith in Christ Jesus, you are sold out to God and the things of God only, and your body is only utilized to worship the LORD.

In this state, the Holy Spirit becomes actively involved in your life, directing you in what to do and what not to do. He helps train your appetite to ensure you won't find interest in stuff that can be utilized by the devil to subtly push porn to you. For instance, you won't be interested in many modern-day movies and Internet trends and shows like Big Brother that stylishly sell pornographic content that stirs up lust.

While the Lord will play His role, you must also play yours. You must avoid people who are fans of content that stimulates lustful desires (either explicit ones or coded ones). You must be disciplined to cut off channels where porn is easily circulated (porn websites, erotic and romantic books, magazines, music videos, etc).

If you accidentally stumble on something sexual, don't take it lightly. Find out what led you there in the first place, and urgently do all you can to ensure such won't repeat itself. This might mean talking to someone you trust. It might mean blocking your browser from showing adult content. Just act, so you won't go back again, and eventually become addicted.

Finally, it's a good thing to create structures that help keep you from seeking pornographic materials. However, the truth is, in our perverted world, you don't have to seek porn today - porn is actively seeking you. You might be using an app, and all of a sudden, an ad of half-naked women doing sexual dances pops up. Even when walking around, you see folks appearing and acting in a manner that can stir sexual lust if you are weak. Hence, you need God's help to remain sexually pure, and you must remain on fire for the LORD to keep your vessels from being infested with lust.
