No discipline in schools again! Gone are the days they check bushy hair and nails on assembly grounds. I saw one secondary school boy plate his hair. Such will graduate and carry it over to the university.
In university of Ibadan, the lecturers will walk you out of their lectures

It's in primary school you do that kind checkup,

In secondary school, senior students do it to their juniors.

If you see any student that doesn't dress properly then know he/she is a senior student whether in JSS or SSS. Only principles and some teachers can send them out. Or maybe those students don't enter class.

Junior students fear senior students more than they fear teachers or principal.

If you go to a hospital and the doctor who attends to you is wearing that type of bushy hair, will you trust his judgement or diagnosis? undecided

Mumu logic, why not the other way round, will doctors reject patients based on the way they kept their hair?

Nobody is supporting the student, the lecturer was totally wrong. He has no right to do that to an adult.

So after cautioning him, what happened to excusing him from your class or making an official report to the departmental office or HOD?

Why have you Nigerians turned absurdities to the norm? "even my lecturers then yen yen yen" and you can say this nonsense with pride in 2024 in a country with a constitution and you wonder why most of you find it hard to adapt in nations that respect human rights?

It's this same set of people that will come tomorrow to accuse the government of human rights violations but what do we call this? Very archaic, savage, and myopic way of addressing issues.

If the dude decides to act violently, do you think he won't win by claiming self-defense? You have an adult coming at him in a vulnerable position with a weapon. Is it until someone sees brutal repercussions before every other person will have a sense of boundaries and civility?

I tire for una mehn.

You are indeed wise

Nigeria is filled with animal’s walking around with empty brains

They see this as normal because of the cave they grew in

Oya travel no learn no

When they travel Dey mess up I do pray helinues never gets a visa he should remain in Nigeria to defend rubbish till his passes

Helinues might think it’s a curse but I don’t want him shot by a white man that will see his madness plain blank

Some students' are just stubborn, would you tell me that he does not know the dress code for his department/school.

you sounded more stupid. So do you think he hasn't caution that student. Non of my lecturers then will permit that in his class. Even the course load would not give you time for such fashion.
You no just get better thinking faculty!! You were there when he cautioned him? And even so, was cutting the hair the most appropriate measure to have been taken??

This just sounds stupid.

There are better ways to go about things.
We can't keep doing things the archaic ways and expect modern results, doesn't work that way.
He has done more to discourage that dude from education which is the exact opposite of his job.

If he joins a cult now, people will call him names but have you considered the mental impact this has had on him? One of the major reasons cultism is still a huge thing in higher institutions is because of the high-handedness of lecturers. Students who can't face them will choose to pour that frustration on their fellow students.

Things can't keep happening this way.
We keep building monsters with our methods and wondering where things went wrong. It's not the devil, IT IS US! WE ARE THE DEVIL!

The Nigeria school system should ensure they do all things to stop this stupid youth from becoming nonsense menace in future.

Too much of useless freedom without good culture is the reason some people are now LGBTQ+. Instead of doing it low-key they still want to shove the useless LGBTQ into our mouth.

Africans must be Afrocentric irrespective of education. The arabs are well educated too yet they never allow nonsense. We must stop pairing knowledge and nonsense together just because the European are developed and we learn from them, WE must identify their nonsense and leave it to them
Re: Outrage As Unizik Lecturer Cuts Student’s Trendy Hairstyle With Scissors (video) by NoToPile: 7:16am On Jul 28
I will simply tell him to leave my class.

One guy on my team was training dreads small small, seems he just did it. he will wear crazy jeans to work on a Monday, so beacsue it's a field job you hardly sit in the office you wear tear tear jeans when you wanted to pick something up from the office. Everybody was now looking at him strangely. It was the intern that saw him and told him shey he knows it's not allowed.

I saw him much later told him there's a dress code, normal jeans is allowed, teartear is not, also told him about the hair. Married man with children oo.

Some weeks later he had cut the hair and stopped never wore that jagajaga jeans again.

You will be wishing to travel over to the same US.
You no dey ask yourself while LGBTQ is trending all of a sudden. Something that have been their for thousands of years without anyone giving a fvck about them.

All of a sudden at the dying minutes politicians are legalising and banning it.

People like you are the ones that keep breeding monsters in the world. Too much freedom is what has spoiled our world today. The way we reason sometimes is worrisome.
When it comes to training especially for we blacks, sometimes you have to be strict. We like pointing to the white as a reference point and forget that those white first of all built their society from this strictness, before the later generations became better and better till they got to where they are today.

Too much freedom indeed, Whats the yardstick used to know when freedom is too much. Some of you are worst than Sharia judges. Stop refering to humans as Blacks or White.

You are not being fair and considerate enough to the lecturer. You are not there to ascertain how far or how long the lecturer had warned him or sent him for his dressing code.
University is not only for reading and passing exam but also includes inculcating morality on the students. How would carry your hair like bad man.

Are you saying the student is so stubborn that if he's asked to leave, he wouldn't?

The student has some rights.
Where your right stops is where another person's right begins.

If he asked the student to leave and he refused then the will report the student to the school.

Blame it on the government playing the people.

Go to Thailand and Philippines you go see the real gay people, lady boys etc. It's not an issue. The Western world are learners.

The US government now bringing up gay issue and shoving it on people life to create confusion so that people will start hating others.
