Azikiwe was a fool believing he's/can be one with those things.

Awolowo introduced tribalism to show him Nigeria can never be one.

Kukutente23:

Awolowo did not introduce tribalism. Go and read your history. Tribal politics started from the north.
But more importantly, I'm surprised at how you had no qualms throwing Azikiwe under the bus.
There's a certain group of Yoruba who usually mete same treatment to OBJ.
Seems you're cut from same cloth

Nigeria is a tribal society; that's why the founding fathers and British settled for three autonomous regions in 1957 until that stupid twit called Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi (Former Head of State of Nigeria) the promulgation of the now-infamous "Decree No. 34", which abrogated the country's federal structure in exchange for a unitary one.

I’m not Yoruba o, if anything at all, I’m closer to Igbos than them. I hear Ibo a bit because I schooled at UNIZIK, but this your message should be delivered to Igbos.
That ‘us against the world mentality’ is always making Igbos feel unpressed and so, tend to unknowingly unite to fight against every tribe in Nigeria, which is not even possible.
That unity is destroying the chances of a good man like Obi and it is upsetting me.
Shun tribalism because some few Yorubas are enjoying this battle and using it to turn other sensible Yorubas against Igbos.
I’ve told you guys. Ignore any tribalistic statement or action from the few idiots from the South West and they will stop using it to their advantage.
Nobody can shame you with what you’re not ashamed of.

Their behavior has destroyed PO chance of ever being president. PO has not helped himself with his underhand attack on Soyinka.

Look at ASUU. Government succeeded in registering another academic union thereby reducing the influence of ASUU and till today they cannot get their demand.

I would like to appeal to our Yoruba brothers to take it easy with this tribalism because last last it will consume all of us while the politicians will be laughing. By the way politicians are united and have no tribalism among themselves.

This your comment reeks of full bigotry! 😆

In your warped mind, tribalism started and ended with the Yorubas?

Including all the post election insults that even the Yoruba Obidients eventually started responding to across all social media? So Yorubas should continue to take all the insults just because they gave Tinubu 58% votes??

You are a very dangerous hypocrite and you should learn to practice what you preach!

All Nigerian politicians will definitely be reserved for another hell. I am not sure they deserve the normal hell
We blame the root cause of the problem

"subsidy is gone"

Then share rice.... is that how to rule a nation?

Guy don't to go there? If I give you something to give to somebody won't I make sure that the person gets my package? Tinibu has a chunk of blame... Verifying whether those poor ones in their social register that they spent #3billion to verify, whether they received the palliatives.

This rice is meant for Kogi state residents, see how it was looted. It’s unfortunate seriously in Nigeria. This happens all over Nigeria 🇳🇬. It’s not pertaining to Kogi state alone.

Don't mind that bigot trying to justify his bigotry. I have given him a good reply above.
I can swear with the last drop of blood in me that's he is one of my Igbo brothers. If he denies it Amadioha will strike his bigot brain.
I have gotten to a stage on Nairaland where I don't care what tribe anyone thinks I am anymore. Our hypocrisy as Igbos is disgusting and I owe no one apology to say it.

Why rhe protest should be peaceful. If you find any warehouse where the governors kept what the fed govt send to them to give to citizens, that warehouse should be ransacked
BAT can't supervise everything.
Governors are evil.

You are sounding tribalistic while appealing against tribalism. Of all the tribes in Nigeria, u singled out the Yoruba race as the only tribe that is tribalistic. Meanwhile let's know where you from first before we continue.

Bros how can i give this a million likes?

As a northerner,i can confidently say that my people are one of the most tribalistic people in this country but this trait is almost non-existent among elites hausa men.

Just some few days ago,a fellow hausa man was condemning aliko dangote's refinery that his products were substandard. Also less than 2 months ago, kano was in a state of chaos because of the impeachment of bayero by the kano state government.

My observations from the above cases is that It's mostly the poor and foolish among any tribe that are tribalistic.

Dangote is an hausa man,but i can assure you that more than half of his employees are from other tribes. You can hardly see any hausa man in management or other high-ranking positions.

well spoken, the socialist intervention policies of this government is utterly bonkers,it is just a waste of scarce funds and resources,Nigerians are resilient and resourceful people that don't need handouts, even in some tribes like the igbos the idea of giving an able body person handout is an insult and degrading to the person, let them focus on improving our infrastructure and stop rushed anti people policies, this handout of rice to political bigwigs is a clear example of anti people policy

The planned protest is focus on FG because some people want Tinubu out of Aso Rock but FG isn't much of our problem. State governors committing impunity in our very eyes and we are overlooking it somehow. They are getting tripped allocation but are refusing to at least double salaries at state level for instance.
I believe those rice were diverted because someone wants to make money to be paid for his yet unborn child school fees from primary to university level.
