bdon123:And you think UK will lose out if BA is stopped from landing in Naigeria? yea! Right. Lagos/ Abuja route are nothing, just a meagre route out of hundreds of routes they are running. They will not lose anything if they are restricted from Naigeria route. |

Iamzik:Cutting your nose to spite your face is dumb! Policies are made based on interests and facts, not emotions. When you have sufficient leverage, you can choose to flex your muscle. bdon123:My point exactly! It is Nigerians that will suffer it (to and from). If there are no more direct flights to the UK, it is Nigerians that will need to pay extra to go to nearby countries to join connecting flights. You pay for a service and get it. Yet, you say they are not giving you anything. Understand this, British airways DOES NOT need Nigeria to continue to be successful. UAE just lifted the ban on Nigerians after two years of extensive lobbying (begging), companies are leaving your country wilfully and in droves, airlines have suspended travelling the Nigerian route without flinching etc Nigerians need to understand their current reality and drop the stupid pride and arrogance. |

EdgeUp:My point exactly, now is the time Nigeria has leverage.British economy is in shambles rite now....how many prime Ministers hav been replaced within 10years alone? This is a bilateral air agreement not like we are asking for something new.we both need each other rite now |

EdgeUp: BA is not doing Nigeria a favour sir. They were charging Nigerians exploitative air fare before air peace stepped in. One of the hallmarks of a strong leader is ability to take difficult decisions. Our currency was stronger than pounds at some points if not for our useless leaders. Do you know that Nigeria sent aid to UK as some point after independence? Stop looking down on yourself. Respect must be demanded on the international stage. If you are percieve yourself as weak you will be treated as such. Do you know how much money out people spend in UK every year? UK needs Nigeria as much as Nigeria need UK |

Owutuotuo:Virgin Atlantic also. |
Re: FG May Restrict British Airways From Lagos Airport by worksmart(m): 7:04pm On Jul 28 |
Not just BA would be restricted, but other British Airlines such as Virgin Atlantic . Even now Nigeria remains the most lucrative destination for airlines in the world so losing Nigerian routes is not something airlines want to happen. Calitoscassius: |
Re: FG May Restrict British Airways From Lagos Airport by Calitoscassius(m): 7:13pm On Jul 28 |
worksmart:Virgin airline are not owned by the british, it is owned by Richard Branson an English businessman, even if Virgin are restricted Virgin has more than a hundred more routes. Besides, Naigerian living abroad would suffer. Virgin only began to run Naigeria route few years ago, (that is if virgin is still running Naigeria route) so they have been flying years back to many destinations before the began Naigeria route. Why are the Naigerian government still waiting to restrict BA? They should restrict BA already and see who would lose. |

Calitoscassius: You don't even understand business. what is the number of people travelling in these other routes that BA has? Which country's citizens travel more than Nigerians? |
Re: FG May Restrict British Airways From Lagos Airport by Calitoscassius(m): 8:44pm On Jul 28 |
efighter:I don't know, you tell me the numbers. If you think you know business.. For some reason you think any company that doesn't do business with Naigeria will go burst. You need to think again. there is nothing special about Naigeria or Naigerians. The Indians and pakistani alone are enough to exceed the number of Naigerians travelling with BA and Virgin Naigerian travellers are not even up to half Ghanian travellers. As i said, Naigerian government should ban BA already and let's see who loses. They are just making empty threats. Lets's see how Naigerian corrupt looters who calls themselves politicians can travel abroad for their medicals and to visit their children who all live abroad. |
Re: FG May Restrict British Airways From Lagos Airport by ycat: 6:20am On Jul 29 |
This has nothing to do with Nigeria, it's an individual business and president Tinubu shouldn't have given that position to Keyamo who is now using it for pady-pady. I think Keyamo should be fired for even entertaining this thought. British don't want a plane that may have to be towed or need a jump in their best airport. Nigeria just can't put his integrity behind an unstable tribal bigots who are known to cut corners and lie like there's no tomorrow. Airpeace is a private business and should be treated as such. Yoruba have been more than magnanimous with the way they worked to allow their planes to enter London and land in Gatwick, a Yoruba man's airport. All we've been hearing since then is one complain after another to cover up incompetency. Who is even checking to ensure the planes being flown by these pathological liars are safe to transport human? British airways has more than pay its dues and deserves to land in the best places in Nigeria, first let airpeace work its own way to 1% of that. COMPAQ: |
Re: FG May Restrict British Airways From Lagos Airport by ycat: 6:30am On Jul 29 |
He has no inferiority complex he just doesn't like yall style. Airpeace is a propaganda driven nonsense. Only foolish Yoruba would fly in it even for free. Saig: |

Iamzik:I do agree with you on a number of points. It is definitely reasonable to demand to be treated fairly. However, you cant do that with abrasiveness and ultimatums when you'll eventually lose at the end if push turns to shove... that was my point. |
Re: FG May Restrict British Airways From Lagos Airport by EdgeUp: 10:24am On Jul 29 |
bdon123:Their economy is in shambles - yet, UK is the number one japa destination for Nigerians abi? Wehdon sir! Don't let their politics fool you, the UK economy is solid. You cant demand to be treated fairly arrogantly by issuing threats especially when the other party is still colonizing you indirectly. |
