Were you expecting us to open spaces for Spain to exploit? We've literally frustrated their entire offensive plan.

If we continue to frustrate them like this, they will lose they cool and maybe mess up which might give us a chance to do something..

No. Just lost concentration

Yeah, I saw the replay, No Push.... Her last touch took her wide and while trying to recover she fell over.

Spain has All the balls as expected but Nigeria has created 2 big chances and Spain 1
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Unlimited22: 6:49pm On Jul 28
Abeg can we get JOE on for maybe Toni?

All three midfielders are treating the ball like it's made of lava but Toni isn't helping because she's also getting bullied off it.

Okeke at LB is indirectly affecting our attack. Or maybe they're playing 4-4-2 because Esther has not been able to join the attack.

Hope Randy is retained sha, Man really knows his onions. Though we’ve not been really impressive, but these Girls can ball. No team in the world i repeat no team in the world will walk over these girls.

Abeg no. At least not yet. JOE can not defend the way Tony and co are doing.

But that push on ajibade should be penalty nah

solonnachi:

So we catch them on counter right?

Exactly. Everyone who has ever beaten Spain allows them to have the ball then kill them in fast paced transition. We've done that a couple of times just didn't take our chances.

It's not. There's a reason there was no appeal

My first half highlight was the yellow card Asisat Oshoala collected. As the leader it is a message to the girls that this game is to be played with all heart, mark and do all that is within rules to win.

No Ashleigh Plumptre, Halimatu Ayinde or Rofiat Imuran too.

If only we'd taken our chances vs Brazil

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by codemaniacs: 6:56pm On Jul 28
they should not lose concentration and discipline once the 2nd half starts because Spain will want to score immediately.

Exactly. We just need to be disciplined in defence and quick in attack. I'll remove Okeke now and bring Nicole Payne to help with our offense. Toni Payne hasn't been impressive but she's helped a bit in defence. Will leave her for say 10 minutes to sew what she does before bringing Joe in.

I make bold to say that had she started vs Brazil we'd have beaten them.
