Tinubu is showing true leadership by addressing the long-standing challenges our nation faces. It's about time we have a president who isn't afraid to tackle these issues head-on. The vision for a better Nigeria is clear, and with his determination, we can finally move forward. Let's rally behind this effort and support the changes that will uplift our great nation!

Thunder 🔥 tunji ojo

Did Tinubu and his allies give Goodluck Jonathan breathing space and allow him to solve decade-long challenges when he and his allies sponsored, funded, and organised protests and civil disobedience against his regime, even going as far as threatening to form a parallel government?

Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo’s appeal to halt the August 1 nationwide protest is out of touch with the reality faced by many Nigerians. His claim that President Tinubu is working tirelessly to resolve the nation’s issues overlooks the growing frustration and dissatisfaction among the populace.

For over 64 years, Nigerians have endured numerous challenges, and despite past leaders’ promises, we still face severe economic difficulties, security concerns, and governance issues. The idea that we should just rally behind the current administration without questioning its effectiveness is unrealistic and dismisses the genuine concerns of citizens.

It’s not about rejecting unity or patriotism; rather, it’s about holding the government accountable. True patriotism involves demanding better governance and solutions, not blindly supporting an administration that has yet to address critical issues effectively. The call for protest reflects a desire for real change and accountability, not an attack on national unity.

Instead of urging people to ignore their grievances, the administration should address them head-on. A leader’s role is not just to appear bold but to deliver tangible results that improve the lives of everyday Nigerians. Until we see substantial progress and reforms, it is the right of the people to voice their frustrations and seek better governance.

The minister of interior lacks the moral right to call on Nigerians to shun the planned protests. This guy was reportedly good in his constituency when he was a MHR but fantastically scandalous…… From NDDC shady contract scam to off the mic scenario to NYSC abnormality to Humanitarian ministry contract scam in which his company was indicted. ……. He should just keep quiet and redeem his dent image……

The problem is the direction it is going. This administration is so worse that people have forgotten about Buhari. I and my other twelve adult members of my family voted this failure of a president. So, I know what I'm saying. People can no longer buy yams, beans, milk, etc. Look at band A palaver too! This is not an administration that will succeed or make life better for Nigerians as promised. On top of it, they're insensitive as they are spending billions of naira on themselves

Guy do you know how many people tinubu has render useless, many big businesses has closed up because of dollar rise in just one year. Many people has lost so money because of dollar rise against naira, many people are very hungry, many people are not longer importing goods from abroad. The price of of clearing 40ft container is 20 million, just in one year everything has increased then imagine what will happen in d remaining 3 years. U are talking about 2027 election, free and fair election is not working in Nigeria, use 2023 election as an example. This old men have ride us for so long, without this protest nothing will change in Nigeria. Forget about tribe and ethnicity, we are taking about Nigeria been good for a common man. If tinubu is doing well nobody will talk about protest
successmatters:
Please don't protest, things will get worse after the protests. Embrace dialogue with Tinubu.

You have allowed him get there, let him do his work in peace.

Wait for 2027, then protest with your votes.

Yes he is addressing it by approving 160m jeeps for national assembly members and building a house worth 21 billion for shetima while plotting to approve billions for the buying of a private jet for himself. We can see how he is addressing the problems he met. Rogues.

Thankfully ThiefNuibu is not destroying lives in addition to private properties with his clueless mismanagement of our country, just as he is doing to Lagos since 1999.
Destroying lives with reckless looting that is making inflation gallop like Ahmed wey shayo for the first time.

How much was petrol when ThiefNuibu and Fayemi organised the 2012 protests against PDP's fuel deregulation? Do you remember

adenigga:
N1,500/litre in Ogun, Lagos

Our correspondents who visited parts of Lagos and Ogun states on Sunday reported that many fuel stations did not open for business while the handful that opened had long queues of vehicles and people buying in jerrycans. Black marketers had a field day selling to impatient motorists at between N1,200 and N1,500 per litre, depending on the location.

A bus driver, Elijah Sunday, who spoke to one of our correspondents at the Ketu motor garage in Lagos, lamented the struggle to get PMS.

“We have been finding it hard to get fuel for the past couple of days and it’s expensive, so, we had to increase the rates,” he said.

A minibus driver plying the Eko Hotel-CMS route in Lagos insisted on N300 instead of N200, citing the fuel scarcity.

Fuel queues were observed at PM Petroleum at Cele Bus Stop along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway. At the North West filling station close to CharlyBoy Bus Stop at Gbagada, Lagos and the NNPC station at Ogudu, there was a long line of vehicles.

Why not give protesters benefit of the doubt? They're going to conduct themselves peacefully. Police and army are there to tackle hoodlums. That's their job.

Dialogue won't work in a situation like this when everyone had been pushed to the wall. Where did you get fuel in town to reach office this morning, if you're one of the employed few in the country?

The Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has asked the organisers of the proposed August 1 nationwide protest to rescind their decision, noting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is acutely aware of the current plights of Nigerians and that he is working tirelessly and meticulously to resolve them.
My question is simple.
What is this government afraid of about this protest? What goes around comes around.
