treesun: While I am not questioning the response of Arewa Group on the subject, truth be told, the NNPC and others as insinuated by the AG have been regulating since how many years and we still don't have a functional refinery. If they know they don't want Dangote to wield so much power that should ordinarily belong to a nation, why give him the platform to even build the refinery in the first place? why does a country that has so much cry of what it takes to operate a refinery? @Arewa Group, it's high time we understood that there are other ways this can be addressed rather than relying on NNPC that merely manages the exportation of the crude product and importation of the refined products. Continuing in the status quo makes the refiners to perpetually keep Nigeria under their subjection. |

Philipponzaghi: While I support his support, there's hight stake with driven urge for monopoly... Especially when you indicate he's creating an empire, perhaps you don't understand that implication. He will come back to dictate things! |

Philipponzaghi:there should be an extent to which that vision can be supported, it's a one mans thing, monopoly is going to enter. thesame monopoly we were crying for over dangote cement, flour and spaghetti, oil moves the economy, giving Dangote all that is dangerous, it will be like going from frying pan to fire |

I have known from day one that the so called richest man in Africa is riding on the backs of government bending rules for him to do dirty business at the expense of the masses. I told someone long time ago that Dangote is not bigger than the state and that the state can bring him down but the fellow wad arguing blindly. |

Zwooks:you have a 20 billion dollars refinery sitting beautifully in Lagos ,a refinery that is a game changer in our economy.bua is building his own in akwa ibom......in the end the two private refineries will open a flood gate of investments to Nigeria. Investors are observing keenly on how the outcome will be even Reuters international always keep updates on the refinery so all this yappings is just distractions and it will do us no good in the end. Maybe when fuel gets to 1500 brains will begin to reset. Look if this project fail, all of us will buy fuel at 1500 and above and there is nothing you can do about it, y'all will only complain and get tired. |

Bizibi: Oil contracts are not mere business contracts. There are corporate agreements that would stem into 20 years etc. When Nigeria got broke and needed to stabilize the dollar exchange rates, we where getting all sorts of 500M, $1B to solve the currency crisis. Taking all sorts of loans to manage the economy from Buhari into Tinubu. All of these loans and helps were pegged against long term contracts. Nigeria has not stopped Dangote from refining crude. But the logic of always ripping the country off, i.e getting billion of dollars at 1,000 Naira less than market price, getting funds from PENCOM to finance his refinery construction, dodgy waivers and tax exemptions can not continue forever. Dangote is destroying the country. If he wants to refine crude, fine, let him source for them abroad, import them, pay regular custom duties, refine his crude and sell anyhow he pleases If you look at it one first hand basis, it would appear Dangote was the victim. When we handled him and few criminals cement, it jumped from 2,500 to 4,500 in one week and from 4,500 to 10,000 in one single week. We won't hand over petroleum and ruin the energy security of the country. Never |

Zwooks:look as it is it doesn't even matter.....you look at that refinery that is complete and you are making unnecessary complaints. WHO NO GO BOAST SAY THAT TYPE OF GIGANTIC REFINERY DEY HIN COUNTRY.nigerians are always weird sometimes, you complain about dead refineries now someone found a way to build his,you talking about another thing. I support dangote on this refinery and I pray it works so that it will give investors confidence on our economy. Look if dangote Don't give a damn about domestic sales he can export and make ten times the amount in a week exporting it to other countries Even your government will make huge amount from taxes,NOW WHO GO LOSE IN THE END Make una dey look the bigger picture all the time. |

Bizibi: My dear leave issues of economics to people who know better. This isnt a subject matter you are knowledgable about. Dangote is not a good human being and isnt good for Nigeria |
Re: You Cannot Dictate Price Of Fuel, Bend Existing Rules – Arewa Youths To Dangote by Bizibi(m): 10:25am On Jul 29 |
Zwooks:we know better, some of you are just being emotional....some of you don't think. How can a refinery of that size built in Nigeria and you are talking about Monopoly at this stage that we need to refine and sell in this country. Haba!!!! This refinery is a game changer for people like us that want to bring in investors to this country, you think they re not watching...... |

Asonaijaaso:dangote have the right to fix the price for his products, if it’s still expensive, we will stick with cheaper price,I understand the game NNPC is playing is to make petrol more expensive for their game to continue. |

Re: You Cannot Dictate Price Of Fuel, Bend Existing Rules – Arewa Youths To Dangote by Asonaijaaso: 10:46am On Jul 29 |
adebowales: Dangote should run his refinery independently. If he has good prices, the government will come and beg him. But refinery that has not produced a drop of petrol, yet wants to takeover the whole petrol supply in Nigeria. |
Re: You Cannot Dictate Price Of Fuel, Bend Existing Rules – Arewa Youths To Dangote by Zwooks: 10:48am On Jul 29 |
Asonaijaaso: You can imagine. He wants the country bent over backwards for him eternally. He did it with CBN carted away with free billion of dollars. He did the same with limestone, sugar and salt. His reign must come to an end otherwise Nigeria would be sold to slavery |

Wonders! Tinubu is paying the sellouts among Arewa youths to undermine 20 billion dollars investment because he wants to sustain oil importation by his company. Hehe!! |

Zwooks: This man invested 20 fvcking billion dollars and over a period of 10 years or more and our president is sabotaging it because of his personal gains from oil importation and you're standing against an investment that already generated thousands of direct employment!! You will realise how foolish you are one day |
Re: You Cannot Dictate Price Of Fuel, Bend Existing Rules – Arewa Youths To Dangote by Zwooks: 10:54am On Jul 29 |
Asonaijaaso: Nigerians don't know he is trying to completely capture the country and bring it to slavery. The problem is everyone wants to talk these days even when.they do not know the consequences of motives. Dangote must be resisted at all costs |
Re: You Cannot Dictate Price Of Fuel, Bend Existing Rules – Arewa Youths To Dangote by Zwooks: 10:55am On Jul 29 |
maasoap: Inflated amount to dupe Nigeria to begin with. That refinery is max $9 Billion dollars. He should import his crude and operate his business without interfering with national interests |
Re: You Cannot Dictate Price Of Fuel, Bend Existing Rules – Arewa Youths To Dangote by maasoap(m): 10:56am On Jul 29 |
helinues: What is he trying to win if I may ask you? Tinubu doesn't want this refinery to be fully operational so that oil import can continue since he's the one importing it. I wish people like you understand the implication of the failure of that refinery on our economy. |
Re: You Cannot Dictate Price Of Fuel, Bend Existing Rules – Arewa Youths To Dangote by Asonaijaaso: 10:58am On Jul 29 |
Zwooks: Nigerians are waking up daily, I promise you in the next 10 years the landscape will change, we will have to hit rock bottom first. After that we will stop all this tribal and religious nonsense and realize that we all have the same enemies in common. Imagine one person asking for the crude oil allocation of the country because he built a big refinery. Knowing fully well that all the salaries and pensions and government funding in Nigeria comes from the forex obtained from crude oil sales. Essentially asking us to give him the goose that lays the golden eggs. Because he has built a beautiful cage. 1 Like |

Zwooks: So, such other countries now use importation to kill their local production by not giving it enough crude oil contrary to the promise made initially? If you are truly educated, you would know that importing what you can produce is nothing but madness and you are supporting madness without realising it |

Northerners are the ones fighting Dangote. This is unbelievable. But these Arewa Youths seems to have some valid points though. |
Re: You Cannot Dictate Price Of Fuel, Bend Existing Rules – Arewa Youths To Dangote by maasoap(m): 11:07am On Jul 29 |
Zwooks:You sounded defeated. Tell NNPC to get the three refineries they've been repairing since 1999 up and running because those are the real competitors to Dangote's refinery. Not Tinubu's oil import company |

Re: You Cannot Dictate Price Of Fuel, Bend Existing Rules – Arewa Youths To Dangote by maasoap(m): 11:11am On Jul 29 |
Zwooks: Okay, agreed. Can you mention another 9 billion dollars investment by a private company or individual in the country? He should import his crude and operate his business without interfering with national interests Every sane Nigerian knows that oil importation by oil producing nation was never about the national interest, can never be.
