Protesters have blocked Kaduna Road, a highway in Niger State linking Kaduna to Abuja.

This comes three days before the planned 10-day nationwide protest by some groups to demand an improvement in Nigeria’s economic situation.
The protesters carried placards with several inscriptions such as ‘We Are Not Slaves’, ‘Enough is Enough’; ‘Stop Anti-Masses Policies’, ‘Hardship Is Unbearable’ and ‘Fuel Subsidy Must Be Back.’
Monday’s protesters appeared unwilling to wait till Thursday as they chanted anti-government slogans.
The organisers of the nationwide protests want an improvement in the cost of living and a reversal of some government policies, particularly the removal of petrol subsidies.

This is impressive. Tinubu must bring back the fuel subsidy. We cannot be buying fuel at high price, cooking gas is 1500 per Kg and the electricity tariff is unbearable yet both VAT and Import duty goes up every day.

Tinubu should not tax us to death. Within a year you removed every life lines we Nigerians are enjoying.

Bring back our subsidy Tinubu.

Mr. President most act fast. Nigerians are suffering. He need to open the border and reduce the cost of fuel. Otherwise, Northerners will use this opportunity to destabilize the country

Anarchy. Why do you need to trample on the rights of other road users. When law enforcement moves the barrier now, they will start complaining.

But you were warned about Tinubu, and for the fuel subsidy, Tinubu is currently paying over 400 naira per litre for fuel subsidy ...

So I'm wondering how much you want him to pay that will bring the price down to even 400 naira...

Initially I don't have problem about the removal of the subsidy because he mentioned it in his campaign. But removing electricity subsidy, increasing the VAT & and import duty is totally wickedness from Tinubu.

So blocking roads is now the solution?

Instead of finding real ways to address hardship, they just want to create more chaos.

Typical Nigeria, where noise replaces substance.

Make I no lie, I like the fear this protest has put in the minds of our politicians.

See the way they are making efforts rapidly to put things in place grin

But still, we say no to protest especially in SW because Sw has had enough. Evil doers have used every opportunity to destroy South west infrastructure in the name of protest and we say no this time

If you want to protest, do it in Abuja and your region

Tienamen Square loading.

China and the Chinese got very much better after the Tienamen Square one man resistance against military tankers.
No to looting and destruction, but resist bad government and its policies.

Tinubu messed by engaging dangote and his aides threatening protesters undecided

Simply support protesters by giving them police. Being friendly will soothe many by telling them it's their rights. Emirs have been attack because Buhari lost 2011 elections. Why wasting money inviting traditional rulers and clerics. Common sense not common

I saw battalions of army in trucks passing Jos

These present crop of politicians will get what is coming to them. For years they took us to the cleaners fleecing the nation while pushing the consequences to ordinary Nigerians.
Nigeria needs a hard reset. The present corrupt system is not sustainable. A new deal with the government is what's needed right now.
