They kidnapped someone inside SaveMore which is located a stonethrow from where those policemen were and on escaping they ran into a parked police van and opened fire on the policemen there. The woman who was killed was withdrawing money at a POS near where the police van was parked.
I was at that savemore the morning of yesterday.

Honestly I am pained that these happenings in Southeast has persisted over the years and both security officials and innocent civilians have been killed.

The attack was by kidnappers who kidnapped someone inside SaveMore a stone throw from doveley palace junction where these policemen were killed. The kidnappers were escaping after kidnapping theyr victim and ran into these policemen and shot them, maybe to reduce resistance to their escape.

I was shocked when I heard the news, those ones at the road block just before AA Rano if you're coming from Irete, na my guys be that. I'm just glad it wasn't them who got killed but these policemen in the east are very foolish. They know how volatile everywhere is but they're always so pre-occupied with collecting money from vehicles and zero alertness.

These people who killed these policemen are kidnappers. They kidnapped someone inside Irete SaveMore and ran into policemen on their way out and opened fire on the policemen. I was at that SaveMore the morning of that same day. If these officers were any bit alert they would've noticed the skirmishes but, as usually, they threw caution to the winds.

As you rightfully said, there are several police formations and checkpoints along that road. 4, if you count NDLEA who usually setup a checkpoint near okpokija fuel station but these guys were still able to escape. There's even police officers inside SaveMore

What time do they have to react, what time will the information reach the police command to give order or dispatch armed forces??
