Disappointing but not new, corruption has dealt a heavy blow to Nigeria, that we can't even get even the simpliest of things right, the sports administration will then come with the blame game and an excuse for their failure, and then everyone goes home, and then it repeats itself, nobody pays for nothing, nobody is held accountable.
They asked her for money for testing, when the govt was said to have made provision for same money, just imagine. Corruption in our sports is too much kai! No matter how good you are, if you don't bribe, they'd not enlist you. Ofili had to choose her words carefully so she doesn't become a sprinter of yesterday. You see why many of them don't like representing Nigeria?

Have you wondered why they always go for foreign players even though some of them can't do better than local players? We seriously yearn for a good leader who will undo all these nonsense.

Because we always reward failure in this country such embarrassments are bound to always happen.

I doubt if heads rolled in 2020 Tokyo Olympics when they shamefully made 14 of our medals 🏅 prospects withdrawn due to the incompetence of the NOC and Athletics Federation of Nigeria 🇳🇬. They keep showing their incompetence without any sanctions or consequences.

This is what you see everywhere in government and we expect the country to move forward

Poor girl, sports administration can only work if the private sector gets involved, tomorrow if they see her running for another country they will say she is not patriotic.

I think her coming from the eastside also worked against her, we need to banish ethnicity from our sports, if she were from the west she wont have these problems, but then her people from the east especially the billionaires should help, offcourse they wont .

this is even worse just when I thought it was just administrative negligence. Hmmm corruption this is where the EFcc and other anti corruption agencies ought to be active, but they will pretend like they have no idea about this news. What a country.
