■ It's a valid court ruling; if you disagree, you can take it to court. I support protests but we must ensure they don't lead to chaos, violence, or damage to public or private property.
No need for that! undecided

cheesy cheesy But igbos arent protesting. Why do u care so much about this

You guys talk from all sides of the mouth

Not all, they're only advised not to.
No one has the right to tell any citizen not to protest, it's their right. If you don't want to protest please keep that to yourself and allow others to exercise their right. When they come online begging for alms we snob them but we don't known the pains some people are going through just to survive the present hardship

The courts in Nigeria along with ECOWAS courts proved by way of indictments that the Government of Nigeria was responsible for the security failure and issues that took place during the EndSars protest. Those who have been indicted by the courts and ECOWAS should be restricted, not the protestors.. undecided

You are right kobojunkie, go and quote ECOWAS court ruling to DSS whilst they are drop kicking you into one of their special hospitality suites.

People are saying Protest sensibly, you are here talking about constitution and court rulings.

I am sure once they hear your Texan drawl (or whoever you are in US) quoting grammar, they would immediately unpour you and go and hide behind their mummys.

Well put! All these self-appointed spokespeople for Igbos need to be cut off. Imagine them insulting the rights of the people to freely assemble and speak for themselves. undecided

I think you should screenshot that part of the constitution and send it to Ekpa and his boys making your parents hide at home every Mondays in the South East.. Let them know what the constitution says about free movement of citizens as you claim.

Go and disobey court judgement first and claim one constitution said you can misbehave.. Seems you're tired of your freedom.
Ronu, the protest will hold in Lagos massively and it will be loud. Come out if they born your papa well with your Ronu cap to stop us

Well, anything that ensures a successful and peaceful protest, without loss of lives and properties, is most welcome...!

It can be said that they are doing all they can to dampen the impending protests, and they might actually succeed.

However, the truth remains... For how long will you keep suppressing the cries of the millions suffering?!!

I mean... Is that even sustainable?!!

When these people reach their breaking points, death would mean nothing to them.

So, this administration needs to wake up and act fast! Time has more or less run out!

Tribalism and segregation would not allow for good governance in Nigeria and it will remain like that till Jesus comes.
Wise people that has the means are already relocating to a sane country.

Assuming you are correct, you should know that you still need to go to court to challenge today's ruling. I’m sure that anyone considering your appeal will remember the last un-designated protest that resulted in the burning and destruction of courthouses and its subsequent impact on their working conditions before repairs were made.

They can only stop them when they are not yet ready. If the masses are ready to protest nobody can stop them, the only way to stop them is to fix the country.

Again, pay close attention to what your Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, instead says. undecided

The right to protest should not overrule law and order and/or security considerations.

Governments have gone to court to ensure things are done correctly without others' right, to both not protest and carry out with their own lives peacefully, not been trampled on.

Would you prefer the lawless days of teargas been fired, never mind life bullets, at the first sign of people peacefully congregating?

Feel free to waka go Supreme Court to overrule the eminently sensible decision of the lower courts.

What makes Tinubu & South West Governors think that they could get away with trampling on the Constitutional Rights of the Citizens, whom they should be really afraid of?

You guys need ment*l evaluation enmasse.
So it is alaigbo where ipóbs/ugm restricts your movement and kill u blatantly for disobeying their directives that is not trampling on 'constitutional rights'.

It's proven, nay somewhat empirical, that South West is the hub of human rights abuses, regrettably even with Kangaroo courts orders which are against the Supreme Constitution of the country!
The same sw that grants u 'assylum'from ipóbs killings?? grin

Remind us again, the lyrics of the OLD Cum NEW National Anthems & Pledges! South West is gone! Do these SW Guvs know that anarchy might loom if & when the God-given rights of the people are trampled upon? Haven't they learnt any lessons yet?
The same sw that ndigbos have turned to idp camps?

Yet what the government and its cronies have been doing is exactly the opposite, showcasing general foolishness and lack of ideas. Imagine your government even bribing courts to make unconstitutional rulings, rather than attacking the problems highlighted by the people head-on. undecided
