And my point is criticisms are a part of the game as long as they are fair. Also, I made the comment because I was highlighting her inexperience, it was another needless fouls if hers against Spain that cost us the game. She's 22, she will learn from it. As long as people aren't throwing vitriols at her it's fair.
”As long as people aren’t throwing vitriols at her”. Na that vitriols be the problem for me. Her mistakes are due to her inexperience, no be everybody go understand that. But i believe in her, just like Ohale in her early years, she’ll come good

Dtigress dey give is joy. They won 4Fiba Afro basketball women back to back. And am sure they will still win the next year edition in Cote D'Ivoire. Their ranking will also improve after this Olympics.
Yes, after these Olympics, they should move into the top 10 from their present 12th position

Urgency has to do with formation and they don't train with any formation.

I’m afraid this is the last match that Waldrum will preside over as the head coach.
I’m sure his critics in the sports media would be laughing their backsides off somewhere 🤣😅
We seem to have a short memory. We were put in a group of death!!!! I honestly didn't expect the girls to make it out of the group considering the calibre and pedigree of teams in our group.

I am proud that they pushed Spain and Brazil to the wire and infact with some luck they could have gotten wins or draws against Brazil and Spain. Waldrum should be allowed to continue in my opinion but he should be given the target of winning the next AFCON.

To be fair, this group was much tougher than the WC. That said, there were obvious lapses in attack.

No Matter what the stupid NFF's have done ( I know, those Nincompoops are the worse ) Randy has to go. This is his level, his ceiling..... He can't move us any further than this.... The only other trajectory from here on is downwards. He has taken US to 3 Tournaments now including some friendlies and qualifiers and
1. We still don't have any pattern of play with the ball.
2. Wrong and terrible Subs every game
3. Players not improving ( Okay maybe Deborah )
4. Even our defensive plays have no pattern in them....Just Individuals diving into tackles and putting their bodies on the line.
5. Wrong/Unbalanced Team Selections every time.
6. Nepotism left, right, center
7. Any form of Attacking Play seem to have retired or relocated away from the team...

this group is not tough..

ihezuo and Onumonu should be excommunicated from the team...

if Ihezuo was a good finisher SF would already be in the QF...

and if Randy and his coaching crew were good coaches that means when SF players are through on goal there will be another player to pass to score..

if Randy stays then his attacking line-up must change.. no more ihezuo, Onumonu, Oshoala can stay on the bench..

Let younger and faster players be called up..

no coach can instill a pattern of play in both the Super Eagles and Super Falcons as long as the Nigerian coaches don't see formation as important there won't be a pattern of play...

pattern of play comes from playing in the same club together or from youth and U11s football...

pattern of play has to be trained into the players from when they are young..

for years both Super Eagles and Super Falcons have never had a pattern of play and that's due to the Nigerian coaches and the NFF...

yes bro, nice analysis. Young players should be called to the team to be groomed with sharp strikers. The team should have been in the last 8 by now. They just donate point to Brazil. They could have draw Spain and drew Japan too. They tried their best. Hard luck to them moving forward. The likes of okeke, ihezueo, onomonu should be excluded from the team. They have no impact or any contribution to the team.

If he should be allowed to continue, then the attacking play of the team has to drastically improve. Players should have the spatial awareness not to run into each other

His not giving Macleans and Alani their chance is terrible..

The fact that you don't even know Alani is not in the team is enough reason not to comment
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 6:44pm On Jul 31
This obviously is the worst performance from the team. This game however brings to the fore that we are not yet a team to compete at the world stage, at least not yet.

Nigerians can sometimes be delusional. It's okay to express frustration at the loss and all, but to make it seem like we weren't already in a bad situation with our grouping is being delusional. We just do not have the personnel right now to compete. The biggest delusion is to make it seem like we were any better in previous years. This is the best we've been as a team at the world stage. Can we grow from here? Yes, but we're not where we used to be.

Kudos to the girls, they gave it their best.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by completeskills(m): 6:46pm On Jul 31
There are efforts put into certain endeavours that even if it does not work out, everyone will still be proud of you. The players have no confidence in their ability. No good ball control, always playing their self into trouble from the back like they have never trained. No clear vision or tactics. Am not sad that they lost but the manner of their play is what irks me. Very disappointing, annoying and does not inspire confidence for needed improvement.
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mekabuachi(f): 6:47pm On Jul 31
I'm curious tho how do they select these group stuff... because you can't put 3 out of top ten ranked team in the world in one group....
There should be some stability like top ranked, middle ranked and even low sef...

Doesn't make any sense to me...

100% agree. The defense is more or less improved, the attack needs to be sorted out.

it is not delusional to set high standards..

some Nigerians always set high standards for themselves and their children so its normal to think other Nigerians think like the high standard setting Nigerians...

will you call Nigerians like Tobi Amusan, Favour Ofili, the basketball teams, the relay team e.t.c.. for believing they can win any competition

Carry attacker wey you never use for 2years go.

You use better winger for qualifiers kon drop am for the attacker wey you no call in years. Only to not use the attacker. What's this thought process of RW? undecided abi was she imposed? And why were they playing smart football prior to WWC but suddenly DISJOINTED?

Summary of this Outing: Disjointed performance.
Nonsense.

Someone is using the word unlucky. Lol.

Unlucky is Man City dominating a UCL final and a Kai Harvetz moment gives Chelsea the trophy.

Not Underwhelming and nonsense play and expecting one of the powerhouses in women's football to be looking and not reading the game with their high intelligence and decision making.
