I like the way Nairaland differentiates rioters from protesters. There are no placards around them. That shows they are different group.

This is so so horrible, see criminal elements. We're truly a reflection of our leaders. This same people will come out tomorrow to accuse Tinubu and the rest of our politicians as corrupt entities while they themselves are not any better. SMH.

This would have been avoidable if Nigeria had a President.

The protesters are countable. This is avenue for the politicians to make more money in buying back all those items looted. Are you saying Nigeria has no president when we had all previous protests in Nigeria since Independence. It's a way of expressing your rights to complain.

Saao:
is it the fault of the governor or your president presiding over a hungry Nation?

Don't try to shield our governors from the current state of things in this country.

If Governors would do just 40% of what they're actually supposed to do, then Nigeria would have been a better place by now.

Saao:
these particular issues are caused by the president. He increased fuel without consulting the governors on the day of his swearing in. He float the Naira without thinking about the implications, these are the major causes of the current hyperinflation.

This is also true sha.

Jobless Nigerian youths.

Have you been to Asokoro before?

If they open the gate of Aso Rock for you, fear won't let you enter, I swear.

Do you think the residence of the President is like that of your village Oba?

See them. Just only one day, they started looting, and they were the ones crying for protest. All these acts of looting and destruction of property during protests have to stop. This act is not justifiable. God bless Nigeria.

I doubt if these picture portray the current happenings because I see no sign of protest here.
Assuming the pictures are real, then the needful should be done.
Re: Rioters go on rampage, loot furniture, mattress, others at NCC hub, Kano by hotseat: 12:51pm On Aug 01
This is exactly what some people have expressed fears about concerning the planned protests all the while.

That hoodlums would under the cover of "protest" embark on looting, vandalism and other forms of brigandage.

Could anyone in his right senses call these characters "protesters"?

When push comes to shove, the Government would have to react at some point.

No responsible government would sit idly by while anarchists, vandals and pure criminals run riot.

A spade would soon be called by its name!
