BREAKING: Protesters Shot Dead in Niger State as Demonstrations Turn Bloody

At least six people have lost their lives and several others injured in the ongoing protest against bad governance in Suleja, Niger State.

The victims were shot by bullets fired by security operatives attempting to disperse a group of protesters who had barricaded a section of the Abuja-Kaduna highway.

According to eyewitnesses, the protesters, mostly youths, had outnumbered the initial team of policemen at the scene, prompting a reinforcement team to be deployed. The situation quickly spiralled out of control, leading to pandemonium.

Among the victims was Yahaya Nda Isah, a resident of Hassan Dalatu Road, Suleja, who was hit by a stray bullet while riding his bike in front of the Suleja Police ‘A’ division.

“He was not even protesting. He was passing in front of the Police ‘A’ division when a stray bullet hit him on the chest, and he died on the spot,” Isah’s nephew said.

Another victim, identified as Mallam Abu, also died instantly. Witnesses reported that three others were shot at the same scene, while two more were injured at the Suleja Junction on Abuja-Kaduna road.

A more honourable death than dying of hunger.

Their blood is on Thïefnubu's head and the heads of his supporters.

No protester was hit by stray bullet. They were targeted and shot dead by security forces. It is now clear that Tinubu is creating dangerous escalation.

Lol.

Sowore is sitting in USA with his kids while sending Niger youth to their death.

I am very sure nobody will remember the name of the guy shot dead, I only pity his/her parent. They do not deserve to lose their kid in his prime.

Their own protest ended early.

Your right to protest is not a right to be a nuisance.

The remaining ones must all be caught and prosecuted.

Set a deterrent for future protesters to know that there are limits to rights.

Looters and anarchists are being shot at. This is good. GEJ and Buhari did the same thing.

Have u ever seen any peaceful protest aimed at government anywhere in the world? Even the January 6 capitol protest in US took lives.

The higher the level of violence in any protest, the higher the chances of government taking decisive action. U think if people start dying in this protest,Tinubu Wil still sleep with his two eyes closed. He'd be jittering and sweating.

Una too dey fear your fellow Nigerians.

Obasanjo did not head for doom for Odi and Zaki Biam massacre.

Jonathan did not head for doom for 2012 protest killings.

Buhari did not head for doom for Python Dance Killings and EndSARS killings.

But somehow, it is Tinubu that will head for doom because despite all the government and police engagement and outreach, the protesters cannot be civil?

Quit joking around, all Nigerian lives are equal.
