Nigeria can host Olympic games if you include Kenya and Morocco.

Watching Marc Guehi

Osimhen might be more complete, but Marc already has better movement than him.

Will see a case where he come off the bench and score lots of goals putting pressure on Victor.

Except the Nigerian improves on that of course

The way Nigerians disrespect our own ehen
You watch two preseason games of Marc Guiu and he has "better movement" than Osimhen at 18? This a striker that has barely played 5 professional games....1 professional goal, and he already has better movement than Osimhen!
It's painful to read really

Osimhen scoring 15 in 22 starts in his suppose worst season isn't talked about enough

This is beyond impressive.

He season isn’t worst

Check the goal ratio and compare to last season and see for yourself

He wasn’t available all season and Napoli was poor that’s why some people think his season was worst

Lagos can host it if Casablanca can.
Lagos is too dirty, disorganized and out of shape to host such an event. Same goes for the rest of Nigerian 'cities' with the exception of Abuja.

Casablanca is a big stretch but I put it there due to the commitment of the moroccoan government to capital investment in order to grow tourism in its cities.

Tbh only Cape Town and maybe Jbourg look like olympic candidates.

God help Africa. We're way behind.

Well, Egypt has been borrowing from the IMF and the World Bank like there's no tommorow so you never know grin grin

I didn't consider Egypt although they put in a bid for a distant olympics sometime around 2040. You know they're building a new captial.

Yes he scored in 55 minutes but I want him on fire during the league, hope he bring this performance to seria A….nice one Chuckwueze

Well the league has not started yet so let's give him credit for the one he is doing so far. 1 goal 2 assists in 2 matches is a good sign of things to come.

Cairo too is a good candidate if the first Egyptian government were keen on it. If I were a betting man I would say Cape Town would be the first African city to host the Olympics but that would be in the far future cos SA is not in any financial shape to be hosting a global event of that size and magnitude.

I think Cape Town is the African city that has come closest to hosting the Olympics. Their bid came 3rd for the 2004 edition.

Funny thing is that they are probably in a worse position 20 years later, though to be fair, many western cities are also in the same boat.

I will tip the middle eastern cities (Rabat, Cairo, Casablanca, Kuwait, Doha etc) to be the top contenders of the future, not due to the financial viability of the games but the vision of their leaders to position their countries as hubs for tourism as they plan a future of diversification from fossil fuels as the driver of their economies.

Abuja can bid for 2040 Olympics

We have the
passion
The facilities
And time to add more

Cities like Lagos and Uyo can host the football event ect

A lot. Lagos is overcrowded, lacks standard municipal services and most of it is unplanned. Bringing its infrastructure to global standard is simply cost prohibitive.

Abuja on the other hand is a young city that isn't only better planned, it still has enough room for renovations and upgrades.

2040 Olympics isn't far oh. They already have strong biddings. Also the financial readiness is important and it does not look good for Naija. Atm, Nigeria cannot even afford up to 1 billion USD of capital expenditure in a single fiscal year. Which means that even with our current borrowing levels, it will take 10+ years to fund the infrastructure to accommodate the Olympics. Worse still, our infrastructure is way below the standard of cities like Paris, Tokyo before they started to spend money on upgrades.

Hosting Olympics will take Nigeria into colossal debt. That's even if we win it.

If by August 7 nff cannot find a coach then gusau the nff president must be sacked immediately. This coaching thing is out of hand. It is serious incompetence.

6 times French Ligue 1 champions Girondis Bordeaux hv been officially been demoted to 4th tier after filling for bankruptcy and professional status renounced

Players contracts terminated and training centre closed in order to reduce financial needs 😞

We'll need something close to national budget to successfully plan, prepare and end if we win bid. Billions of dollars. If they have sense, that event, theoretically, can singlehandedly revive the dead tourism sector. But na big dream wey dey run pass Flash. Who wan chase am?

Whether we like it or not, entertaining football is dying, and Pep Guardiola is at the forefront of this pathetic transformation.

Critics like Bielsa and Messi, among others, have voiced their concerns about these changes. Given their stature and experience, I'd trust their insights over those of someone like Thiago Alcantara.
