No Military coup OP..... Gone are the days that only the politicians are stealing the money... Nowadays the military are also getting a large chunk from our national cake, and no one is calling them out.. They will prefer to stay low and get their Bank accounts fat.
Spot on, the current crop of military officers are busy eating and are not as nationalistic as those of the 60's-90's. They don't have what it takes.

Nigerian military chiefs will be looking at the ongoing protests with great alarm, as reported gunshots have taken place on just the first day of a 10 day national protest.

As the last guarantor of Nigeria’s territorial integrity, the military will be watching these events very closely indeed.

Could some rebellious colonels decide enough is enough?

Or even some generals?

Could President Tinubu in the next few days be overthrown in a MILITARY COUP?

Obidients stop wishing for a coup because Peter Obi lost. Make una rest

You guys talk so authoritatively about what will happen if a coup takes place.

You forget that your power to determine or even influence outcomes will be severely limited under a military regime.

The Constitution will be suspended, and a state of emergency declared.

Your state governors will be chased out and replaced by Military Governors appointed by the Head of State.

The military will be everywhere on the streets in their tanks.

THEY will decide what’s gonna happen, not you or any ‘bloody civilians’.

Thank you.. they don't know how such things work..for a millitary coup to work...there must be evidence of Mass disenchantment with the government...the millitary will plot the coup and immediately state that their stay in office will be very brief...they will stabilize Nigeria and conduct elections pretty soon...that promise is enough to keep politicians salivating...while the millitary rulers start plotting how to perpetrate themselves in power.

Any protest with such nation wide appeal is very detrimental to the survival of a civilian government. Tinubu might be good at strategizing how to grab power but as event as proven he is bad at keeping it.

Furthermore he is no general...he has not participated in a riot, talk more of coup or even war...he knows nothing about how the millitary works...his only hope is that this protest wears down so that he start rethinking governance..if not o ti lo!

Thanks jare, my brother.

All Tinubu can hope for now is that this thing doesn’t escalate.

The military will not stand by and let anarchy befall Nigeria.

They will take over.

Once you hear Martial Music on the radio or TV, followed by “Fellow Nigerians….”, you know it’s all over.

Next thing you might hear is that Tinubu was sighted fleeing the country through Seme border on an okada bike, dressed as a woman.

Nobody will revolt. Oponu!!
You can't protest against your oppressors who are killing you with hunger but you want to revolt and die because they are removed...only you and your rlfamily will revolt

vowiski:
Nigeria is too big for a coup to occur ..

Even if Tinubu sleeps all night during the protest , a coup will never happen ..

If it mistakenly happens, Nigerians will revolt ..

You guys enjoy listening to your own voices. If the military fails to take over, why can't you and your likes move to Aso Rock tomorrow and overthrow a legitimately elected President?

Tinubu has scaled many obstacles and triumphed over his foes, this one won't be any different. Nigeria will be great again this time. This we have seen.

Tinubu knew wat he was doing when one of the first thing he did was to retire many high ranking army officials.

Na wah! The mere mention of military coup is enough to send shivers down the spine of some people.

But let’s be real, Tinubu is no novice in the game of politics. He has faced tougher storms and still stood tall. If there’s anyone that knows how to navigate the murky waters of Nigerian politics, it’s Jagaban.

Jittery? I doubt it. Instead, he’s likely strategizing and ensuring that the nation remains stable. We’ve seen how he has tackled issues head-on since assuming office.

So while some might be speculating about coups, Tinubu is busy laying the groundwork for a stronger Nigeria. Let’s keep our eyes on the ball and support the man in charge. After all, stability is key!

Master of brute politics but an infant in actual governance!

Exchange rate: from 600/$ to 1600/$
Petrol price from 250 to 850
Food inflation now at 40%
Inflation now at 34%
Security has deteriorated badly
Ebin pawa now the anthem of the SouthWest

These are the issues.

Has he not failed?
