Mandate1:
with this your epistle, how do you explain that a tuber of yam sells for #7000, a paint of rice #5000. With this draconian style, I doubt you can manage primary 5 pupils.

(1) I managed about 1000 when I was in high school.
(2) I led a team of 8 in engineering projects nationwide, fresh out of NYSC.
(3) I also led 4 successful projects in the last ten years.
(4) I am non interested in proving anyhting to you, okay?

Various factors contribute to food inflation:

(1) Pervasive insecurity fuelled by local politicians, religious leaders and the military which forced people to abandon their homes and farmlands. You'd find such things in crude oil theft, illegal mining and quest for control of land and water resources. The idea is to collect taxes from the locals. I dont know if you were old enough during the days of Lawrence Anini in the 80s whose accomplices were in the police. If you were not old enough, you'd recall when Jonathan said Boko Haram had infiltrated his government. Now, if a president starts killing thise people, he'd quickly become unpopular as he'd be accused of ethnic cleansing. The security architecture of the country is in the hands of a certain ethnic group. If they can't deal with it, use your tongue to count your teeth.

(2) The lack of offtakers and agro-allied industries to take produce off local farmers, process them, store them and distribute them. Produce get rotten in Benue because no one buys them.

(3) Lack of connecting rail infrastructure to take produce from producing areas to consumption areas.

(4) Traders too, increasing prices even when there is no justification for it. Some of you think if the fuel price is reduced, the prices of goods and services will reduce. It shows how young many of you are. Expect more inflation just because minimum wage was increased.

The reason why I responded to you is as follows: I travelled through many states in Nigeria. You'd see large expanses of land that seem to extend to infinity. Uncultivated land. In the course of my travels globally, I see such expanses of land cultivated in many countries. There are also green houses even in countries without favourable weather. But in Nigeria, we are discussing farmers/herders crisis, grazing routes and retrogressive things. What is more, Nigeria has the best weather in the world. How many state governments have cultivated their lands? Today, many peopl's desires is political appointment. If they can't cultivate their lands, they can get people to come and do it.

Our problems are not insurmountable. People like you need to stop being myopic and start looking for solutions.
Re: EndBadGovernance Protest: Full Speech By IGP Egbetokun by Princejydo(m): 7:50am On Aug 02
The protesters must be allowed to express tm.

The police must allow them run amok.

These children must experience what we experienced in the post June 12 annullment when people were maimed, women were not spared and people were killed.

Due to the liberal nature of the president, people are riding on his goodwill. They are asking for the return of fuel subsidy, release of EndSARS protesters (some of whom looted people's businesses and burnt public infrastructure), abandonment of the constitution, electoral reforms, and some called for regime change.

Deji Adeyanju blamed the president for increasing allocation to state governors post-subsidy removal who have gone on to mismanage the allocations. They are afraid to protest against the governors who eroded public service and local government administration.

Throughout yesterday, apart from the police station that was razed in Nyanya, most of the properties that were destroyed belonged to private individuals.

More than 22 persons were reported to have died , including the suicide bomb in Borno State. While Ebun Adegboruwa, Deji Adeyanju, Inibehe Effiong and Yele Sowore were singing days of rage, they forgot they won't be able to control the mob. Deji Adeyanju tried to blame the police for instigating violence.

Very dark nuisance was one of the promoters of the protest; suddenly, he wants an end to it because they didn't expect the outcome. Arise News anchors on the morning show called for protest, their bus was destroyed by the mob in Kano. Atiku supported it, but has not issued a statement to commiserate with the families of those killed yesterday.

To the protesters and rioters:

(1) Who will cater for the families of those killed yesterday?
(2) Who will bear the cost of people's properties destroyed yesterday?
(3) Which fund will be used to rebuild the infrastructure destroyed?
(4) How will the mob leaders rein in on the mob they unleashed?

To Tinubu:

(1) You have been advised to address the nation and douse the tension. Don't do it! Only sensible people are ready to listen to you. Right now, the protest leaders and the rioters are not reasoning. Let them continue and whenever you step it, it is to restore order in a decisive way. You don't need to say a word. Just do it. Learn from Buhari.
(2) You cannot return fuel subsidy or return fuel price to 100 naira. The nation cannot afford it. Let each state government handle internal transportation at affordable rates. The easiest thing to do is to buy airconditioned buses and let them subsidize transportation. It is not FG who should take care of transportation within states.
(3) Let cargo planes start leaving states like Plateau and Taraba carrying food from there and taking them to major cities. That would be a temporary solution until rail infrastructure is improved nationwide.
(4) State governors must now agree to work with FG to tackle insecurity and strife within their states. The accusation of local politicians, religious leaders, military men and elites fuelling insecurity for business gains need to be nipped in the bud. One of the notorious terrorists accused a minister of funding them when he was governor.
(5) Do not declare a nationwide state of emergency or curfew for any reason. Let each state governor declare such in their states if needed.
(6) There are a lot of lies being peddled about your administration. There are lies that you bought a yatch. Where is the yatch? Some even claim that you bought a private presidential jet. How can a presidential jet be private? You may need to overhaul your information management team. You have the most media advisers in history and most of them are incompetent. Now is the time to look for a seasoned PR guru and let him bring his own team to manage information and public communications from the presidency. You have done a lot and that has not reached the ears of those who should know. As the saying goes, until the lion learns to tell his story, the tales of the hunt will always glorify the hunter.
(7) Finally, stop being nice and too tolerant. You are managing a complex nation and a complex people. How do you explain children looting public property in Kano yesterday? Being nice will lead to you being messed up. Ask Jonathan. Remember a fool will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. You must rise to the occasion. Remember General Sani Abacha was an effective leader, despite his many faults. He accomplished all he did for the nation by not being nice to anyone. Any stumbling block to national development needs to be weeded out.

You didn't add terrorist Fulani herdsmen?
I want to ask one question, do you think ranching those Fulani cows should be encouraged or they should continue whiling away their time in the bush in the guise of herding?
Re: EndBadGovernance Protest: Full Speech By IGP Egbetokun by israelmao(m): 7:55am On Aug 02
Warning and propaganda will not solve hunger issue but access to affordable food.Hunger instigates violence and looting more than people instigating people. The key thing here is that though I am in support of looting and violence but a very strong message and signal of impending revolution has been sent to the leadership and leadership in its wisdom must act fast in order to nip this in the bud.

The only country I have seen in my life where cows trek over almost 2,000 km is Nigeria. I want to commission a study to research the nutritional value of a ranched cow and a trekking cow. I suspect there might be significant differences.

9. Today in Borno State, we recorded one incident of explosion which occurred in the crowd of protesters killing 4 instantly and severely injuring 34 others, many of whom are presently on danger list.

This was no explosion, they were shot dead, execution style @ a fueling station, bullet wounds suggests headshots.

I will start with your concluding paragraph whr you called me myopic. Well, anyone quick to use such words has a lot of rethinking to do on their discerning ability.

In all of your submissions, I tried to see whr you faulted the president for any of our woes, but u shied away due to whatever primitive appendage you share together.

With all you listed as primary reasons for the hunger, pls tell us how Nigerians were fairing hitherto d coming of Tinubu. What is the price of rice before Tinubu became president? What is the inflation level before he assumed office?

You also mentioned about cultivating the vast expanse of arable land, only to blame the people for not doing that. Need I remind you that the 90bn filtered away in the name of religious tourism can actually go a long way in cultivating those lands and reducing the price of food. 3bn to each state of the federation to cultivate a particular agricultural produce favourable to their weather in a mechanised way will reduce food price drastically. The billions expended in building the VP's residence and numerous other profligacies will turn around the economic woes.

In your smart move to exonerate the govt, you avoided the very important issue of currency devaluation introduced by the govt. Electricity Tarrif increment, import duty increment, high cost of energy and fuel. Tell me anywhr in the world where a govt will introduce several difficult policies in one fell swoop.

I practically don't have business with the governors, when the head is okay, every other part of the body will align.

It's people like you that are advising the president badly. The president must rejig his policies, they are making life unlivable for the common man.

Anarchy is bad. But the Constitution which the IGP asked people to adhere to is the same Constitution which protesters want government to change.
President Tinubu campaigned for about 14 years asking for Constitutional Reforms until 2014.

The chief government propaganda zombié himself.

You're one of those that advised Tinubu the most wicked president in the history of Nigeria to keep chasing Binance and blaming crypto for the depreciation of the naira. You carried the propaganda on your head like gala back in march and April. Where's the value of the naira against the dollar today?

Abacha is 10x better than Tinubu. During Abacha's reign there was no insecurity. Farmers could go to their farmers and produce food for all. Infrastructure and federal roads were in top conditions and there was no massive inflation like Nigeria is experiencing under the criminals who have captured the Nigerian state with their ill-gotten wealth.

You're more or less telling Tinubu to fire his old propaganda zombiés and employ new ones. How will the new ones explain to Nigerians that while the president was screaming to Nigerians that Nigeria is broke and unable to fund subsidy and other basic needs of Nigerians, Tinubu saw money to build a new VP resident, saw money to fund pilgrimage for a few individuals, saw money to other a new presidential jet, saw money to start a coastal road project worth trillions while all existing federal roads are now death traps and unmotorable, saw money to fly repeatedly to france and uk for health checks while most Nigerian doctors are fleeing the country to other countries with better working conditions.... The list goes on.

Tinubu and all the set of politicians in power today are the most unpatriotic set of individuals ever to grab power in Nigeria.

It'll be a shame if the citizens now impacted by hunger and hopelessness created by Tinubu administration watch and do nothing. A big shame.

Remember that Tinubu's mandate is less than 35% of the total vote cast in 2023 election. More than 70% of Nigerians did not vote Tinubu.

Regrettably, events in some major cities today showed that what was being instigated was mass uprising and looting, not protest. Those who were in the forefront of promoting the idea of the protest were not around to lead it. Hoodlums have been let loose on innocent Nigerians and their hard-earned businesses and property looted and destroyed. The motive of the rioters was basically two; loot and destroy both private and government property. The destruction so far has been mind-boggling. There has been destruction in Kano, Borno, Yobe, Kaduna, Gombe, Bauchi, FCT Abuja, Niger, Jigawa. Police stations have been destroyed, there has been attempts to take over government houses, looting of government infrastructures, several warehouses and shops have so far been looted and, in several instances, completely destroyed

My take on the protests.

The protesters must be allowed to express their grievances.

The police must allow them run amok.

You are still here?

Hope you recovered some of your losses from the cypto business? I am so sorry they eroded your investment.

You claimed Tinubu got less that 35% of the votes. The vote distribution were as follows:

(1) Tinubu: 36.61%
(2) Atiku: 29.07%
(3) Obi: 25.4%
(4) Kwankwaso: 6.4%
(5) Others: 2.52%

The 70% (actually 63.39%) you claimed did not vote for Tinubu split their votes and that was what handed Tinubu the presidency. I get it that the data analyst in Channels Television started the crap that more people did not vote for Tinubu. Lets talk about the numbers that did not vote for each candidate:

(1) Tinubu: 63.39%
(2) Atiku: 70.93%
(3) Obi: 74.6%
(4) Kwankwaso: 93.6%
(5) Others: 97.48%

So what exactly is your point?
