Former Flamingos Defender, Omamuzo Edafe now With Arkansas State University Team in the US

Former Flamingos defender and FIFA U17 World Cup 2022 Bronze medalist, Omamuzo Edafe is now with Arkansas State (USA) University team, Red Wolves Soccer.

The Dependable Right Back joined the side after her exploits at the World Cup in India, where she scored the winning penalty against USA in the quarterfinals.

Omamuzo wears jersey number 24 for her team. She has graduated to the Falconets under Christopher Danjuma and got invitations for the African Games in Ghana and the World Cup qualifiers.

Aww so happy for her. I remember her exploits at the WorldCup well. I love her! Very humble girl on the exterior too!

Zambia were desperately unlucky to be eliminated from the group stage despite scoring 6 goals 🙆🏾

Nigeria just narrowly misses out on automatic qualification for the mixed 4x400 relay, as they finished 4th in their semifinal.

Hopefully, they will advance to the final as one of the fastest losers.

They had no business losing that Australia game. From 5-2 FFS. Just pack the damn trailer. With Barbara Banda upfront, it will be difficult for Australian defenders to freely join the attack.

🚨 Very nice gesture! AC Milan becomes the first among major European clubs to introduce an innovative maternity policy for its players and staff, offering them protection during pregnancy 🤰:

➡️ Players will automatically get a one-year contract extension under the same conditions if their contract expires during the season they fall pregnant.

➡️ The club will also provide them with childcare services during their sporting activities and cover travel costs (flights and accommodation) for the player's child and a companion.

Respect ❤️🖤

Looking at the QF pairings at the olympics, i realized SF have a long way to go. We have a team of average players who parade themselves as superstars because they play abroad or because they dominate africa in WAFCON competitions. But the rest of africa is catching up. Zambia you see today will be world beaters tomorrow if they put their axe together. Same goes for SA and other rival football nations going forward. The future is bleak for the super falcons

You’re on a 50/50 side with your point right now..

If you Look at the SuperFalcons team properly you will notice that we’re currently lacking in the Attacking side of the game.. Most of the talents we have there right now have probably passed their prime or not in the level we thought they could be..!

Even with playing with some makeshift players in the fullback position we still have one of the strongest defense in the world and in Africa no team comes close..

Apart from Zambia that have better attackers i don’t think they’re as good as Nigeria because in the other positions we still top them hands down..

Give Nigeria only Barbara Banda in that attack and see how they will perform.

You see SuperFalcons trying to do it with Ajibade but once she has a bad game it becomes a problem..

I’m not making excuses for them but I can tell you that Zambia has more than 4 of their attacking minded players are with higher testosterone levels than normal females would have, and have even competed as Athlete in Major tournaments before now which we don’t have and they’re taking advantage of it upfront, but look at their defense is nothing to write home about.. CAF have been strict with their rules in the past which made them not to Participate in the last WAFCON, but it seems things have changed right now.

•• Racheal Nachula #20
•• Prisca Chilufya #14
•• Racheal Kundananji #17
•• Barbra Banda #11

In all we no longer have good enough attackers in the team, which has been our major strengths in the past..

•• Asisat Oshoala still have the experience but seems to have past her prime..!

•• Rasheedat Ajibade who we can depend on can fumble when not expected and if it happens it affects the whole team when she’s not in her elements.

•• Uchenna Kanu was a bright spot but haven’t lived up to the billing and her game keep on deprecating..

•• The rest are just average at best.! Like we need at least 3 World Class forwards right now that can push out the likes of Onumonu, Ihezuo, Kanu etc..!

•• Monday Gift just there for fancy! Rinsola Babajide look like someone who can bring in Spark to the attack but need game time.

Nice move. All of them seems to be moving to US. This girl and Mercy Idoko caught my attention that year. There is this Aminat Bello too. All fast and physical albeit with some rough edges. How I wish Flourish and Bashirat went through the same route too.

Naomi Girma completed 105 passes in that first half vs Japan!

That is the most number of passes completed by a player in a major tournament since that stat started being recorded in 2011..

The 28-year-old midfielder, who also plays for the Nigeria Women's National Team, signed a contract binding her to the yellow-dark blue colors for 2 years.

Emma Hayes
After 12 years of triumph, it appeared that her journey would finish in the worst possible way: without a trophy. After losing the Conti Cup final to Arsenal, being knocked out of the FA Cup by United in the semifinals, and failing to hold a first-leg lead to lose 2-1 on aggregate to Barcelona in the Champions League semifinals, Hayes’ grip on the WSL title appeared to slip after a 4-3 defeat to Liverpool two weeks ago.

But there is always a late plot twist, and in what has been arguably the Blues’ most tumultuous season — plagued by injuries, poor performances, and losses — an 8-0 win over Bristol City, combined with a 2-1 defeat for rivals Manchester City at Arsenal the same day, put them back in first place on goal difference .... I think I now know why the Falcons went thru the last WC unbeaten.

Our opponents - Canada, Australia, Republic of Ireland, England - were good teams with fantastic players. But those teams weren’t as technically gifted as Spain or Brazil.

In fact, our WC opponents were merely excellent athletes, but had no players in the mould of a Bonmati, Paralluelo, or Marta, who could create chances out of nothing with their on-the-ball touches or deft off-the-ball moves, which, ironically, played into Waldrum’s compact tactics.

For the fourth consecutive season, the Women’s Super League (WSL) title battle came down to the final day. Chelsea won for the fourth time in a row, claiming their fifth title in a row, as legendary manager Emma Hayes celebrated her retirement in style.
re
Meanwhile, the top six of Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton, and Tottenham all won to keep the WSL table unchanged from the previous matchday, while Lyon won another title following the inaugural playoff final in France. Rad More >>>> https:///4dspDTo

We have a young bright team of attackers that Randy failed to take along to the Olympics. See Gift Monday, Rinsola Babajide, Sebatine Flourish, Ajakaiye etc. We can build the future around these players with Okoronkwo, Echigini etc

You’re still mentioning Gift Monday, Sebatine Flourish, Ajakaiye that haven’t shown any working yet😂😂

Even if I want to pick, I will only pick Opeyemi Ajakaye as she has that pace that can cause havoc.
