Hello gurus in the house, please kindly go through my stock excel for c and i leasing, it looks good at an entry price close to #3 with the reported EPS compared to CP.
If she sustains are good EPS for the FY, i predict her price getting to #6 within a year from now.

I just want to know if my FCF and CFO for Q1-2024 is correct.

There is still subsidy, an increase will destroy this nation. Petrol landing cost is currently 1200/Litre.
I hope he doesn’t accede to such populist requests.
It will be short term enjoyment, but we will only be kicking the problem down the road.

Subsidy was never really removed. The present subsidy is even more of a burden than what it was. With the exchange rate at such a high level, it will take only God to return the situation to pre swearing in of TINUBU.
The country has to just look ahead and see how to drive down inflation with positive trade balance. Tackle insecurity so farmers can breathe. Carry out massive duty free imports of essentials and medicine to increase supply.
Anyone that thinks TINUBU will announce a new pump price when minimum wage has been increased will wait forever. It doesn't make economic sense to do so. His biggest mistake was hastily announcing total subsidy removal on his first day and subsequently devaluing the currency. These brought our economy to her knees since we import most of what we consume.
There is something negatively special about Nigeria that keeps us retrogressive.
God abeg, we need you.

He should have picked one battle first. To do both subsidy removal and currency float at the same price was ill-advised. Now each time the currency slips means higher price for PMS. Subsidy eventually came back.

If the government had removed subsidy but kept Nigeria stable until we become self-sufficient for PMS, the policy would have worked.

Funny enough I heard "subsidy is gone" wasn't even in the script they gave baba to read that day one just that he wanted to keep the ground running grin

The country could manage the two at the same time
The really problem is the corruption in everything and high cost of governance. If the government are serious and fight corruption and reduce the cost of governance by 50% .The country will be ok.The whole importation to the quantity and amount of petroleum products needed is filled with corruption. The wastage in wants instead of needs at this time is making the cost of governance very high. The corruption in our major source of revenue which is crude with the help of nnpc is real. Why is nnpc sole responsible in the sell of our crude and importation of fuel.A limited company with no audited results for yrs

They are now trying to make NNPC the sole distributor of Dangote Refinery's PMS there by paying subsidy. Why removing it at the first, then later, introducing it through the back door.

From next year, all his policies will start generating positive results. The Dangote Refinery and others will stabilise our economy very soon. The man is not shaking, he knows what he is doing. Kayri will leave NNPC next year cos he is due for retirement by then and the game of 2027 will start. He will not take a battered economy to contest in the year 2027 except he wants to fail woefully. Buy stocks you want to buy this year cos next year is the year of recovery.

Hmmm.. Kind of Agree.
One at a time is better..
Reduces this economy volatility we are in now with so many negative moving parts.

No wonder the company is not profitable even the owners don't believe in it any more... grin

The injected funds that was supposed to be for growth and expansion was rather invested in short term securities.... grin Non-current assets that are not even adequate were sold... grin....I only pity those stuck in this bus.

Assuming NSE allow short trade, this are the type of stocks we traders punish by shorting them till they become worthless and are forcefully delisted by the exchange. grin

Rubbish!

If na you nko? As a business owner you should know when to reinvest in your business for growth and when to invest in financial assets.

At least the N1 billion invested in short term financial assets will generate over N200 million return.

Cost of food stuffs, rents, diesel, theft from workers, extortion from local government and other government agencies etc are affecting returns. Reason why fast food outfits owners are diversifying their investments

Pick FX battered companies like Eterna oil and Dangsugar
Pick oil and gas companies like O and O and Conoil
Pick energy companies like transcorp.
Every sector will definitely start doing well from next year but these companies will triple money by the year 2026. U wey dey all the stocks dey ask for pick grin grin grin. Eterna oil H1 2024 is better than H1 2023. The company has started showing signs of improvement.

Looking at dangota sugar results I noticed about 90% of the forex loss which contributed heavily on the cost in business/profit as unrealized not like International breweries which larger portion is already realised. And I believe this unrealized forex loss could be obligation to dollar payments in future. If that is the case , i believe it may not materiize in full as this payments may be spread within a financial year or beyond. That said ,if the effect of supply from his refinery strengths the naira to any level. It means the forex loss could be written back to positive gain in the supposed bad results. Then it means thr is still hope for sugar results to come out much better by end of financial yr
Pls make your view if I am getting it wrong

What policies, if I may ask? Tinubu is obviously not a good strategist, though he may be good at winning elections. The speech did not touch on the main issues; it was more of a cautionary address to the masses, with the rest being propaganda.

We will be here, God willing, to see the wonderful next year. As of now, only one refinery exists, and Nigeria can't afford to supply it with crude because most of the crude has already been swapped for loans.

I trust Dangote; he has already said that he will list the refinery on the London Stock Exchange. I see the proceeds being used to offset the huge loans, and then the foreign investors will demand their share of the profits. So, a good portion of those gains you are hoping for will be repatriated outside Nigeria.

It is good to be optimistic, but it should be backed with strong evidence.

If it was not a closed deal, it would have been listed separately and not used to calculate the final PAT and EPS. You still have a point; the income statement uses accrual accounting, meaning that transactions are recorded when the deal is done, not when the cash is transferred. Therefore, if the naira were to appreciate against the dollar before the cash transfers, the losses would be adjusted downwards. Let's pray we see the dollar at 900, lol.

Dangote Sugar is in a tough spot as of now. It can't raise prices too much or it will spook the market, while at the same time it is forced to import raw materials from Brazil at a high exchange rate. With the increased cost of borrowing, which is above 20%, it must make more than 20% to even talk about making gains. Negative equity means that it will have to rely mostly on debt.

Now, Dangote would have sought to raise cash from his connections, but his hands are already tied up with the refinery. They may go the rights issue way.

Anyway, I may be very wrong as well.

I had believe the guy will atleast offer something better than Buhari as per the economy as Buhari has always had nothing in his brain beside fanatism. Now I can see he equally has rigging election in his brain only and will likely end up offering nothing better to the economy. He is just too greedy to steal from all corners. I can now see why he is fighting alhaji via proxy. If the present protest does not yeild results. I bet you the 2027 election revolt will yeild results. He and his partner will never take us unaware in the next election. It worked last time because many of us believed inec and thr pronouncements before election. The next election will be do the right thing at the polling unit or you collect right thr
