RuddyFusion:Download all your payslips and P45. Generate letters of leave authorization ( on signed company’s letterhead) to travel to different countries you might decide to travel to in the nearest future. That’s assuming the said company is a big company. Furthermore, determine post employment benefits you maybe entitled to ie, health, loss of income insurance etc. Finally, leave on a good note for future reference etc 3 Likes |

One of the most difficult decisions.....resigning from a job and not sure of the next path to take. That was the stage I found myself more than 9 years ago, when I wanted to quit, to go solo and start my own consultancy. The pay was excellent, with enough pecks but the demand and stress were so much, coupled with the terrible Lagos traffic. I took the courage and didn't regret it. My hustle fees hasn't been at par with my last emoluments as an employee but I am enjoying the comfort and the pride that comes in working for yourself, setting your own time, picking your clients and the kind of jobs to do. Your health and general wellbeing would be glad that you did the resignation. This should be the case if you are sure of your next meal. No go resign if you are not sure of the next job.....na hunger and depression go reset your brain. 6 Likes |

The dollar gig you're on about, hope it's consistent? Sometimes we need to be slow in taking critical decisions as these. But if you feel you've got everything covered, don't quit your job with any bad blood, remember that a new employer may require you to get a reference from your last work place. RuddyFusion: You should inform the company 2 months ahead of time, tell them you are applying for a fellowship or skill upgrade and as such don't have any choice than to leave. You can't say, you may need them later on along the ladder |

Errrr give them 1 Month notice, or you will pay them the salary for the month you are resigning. |

Hey I got your message But here is my opinion in form of questions What would it cost you to continue for patience sake? What do you stand to lose if you quit? If the other job was paying well why didnt you quit ever since? How soon do you think you will get a replacement of this if u quit this? My opinion in conclusion - if is not costing you to be patient for some while to see if things would change then keep the job |

RuddyFusion: Don't mind him, 300k is a very small money right now I swear.. Your salary is just 20k difference to what I earn, but the money is not taking me home with the current economy... If you know your worth, just leave for a better pay, but make sure the structure of the company you are leaving to is better than where you are leaving |
