Another one with "comprehension inadequacies" The bone of contention here or the basis of the argument is not if the French and the British were allies of isreal during the war but if they entered the war to aid the isrealis. What we have been trying to establish is that in the proud history of the Jewish state they have never been a time when another nation had to put boots in the ground to defend the Jewish nation or help it fight its wars.

Like the example you pointed out. Was the US in the war to aid the Soviet Union, the Soviet Union troops and US troops hardly meet because they fought in distinct theaters of world war 2, it would be out of point for someone to say the US came to the aid of the Soviets when in fact they fought in different theaters. That didn't mean they were not allies. same can be assimilated to the invasion of Egypt.
