Kennie28: If you accept the admission and pay the full semester fee but can't physically attend, you can get refund of fee that covers the Semester Transportation ticket (it's a lot). You have to apply or send an email to your school as you won't be physically available. There's a deadline so do this on time 1 Like |

Tsesi: How about the health insurance. Do we have to keep paying for that. How can we go around this? I called BARMER and the customer representative said I have to keep paying so far I'm enrolled even if I'm not in the country. 1 Like |

Zheenie: It took them over two months to send my proof of blocked funds. Two months after my interview. So many needless back and forth. Even had one of ky family friend living in Germany call and visit them. |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Ademxju: 10:25am On Aug 03 |
Ezemeiyogu:they stressed my life these past two-three months. My mail is full of back and forth with them. They sent back my money twice and I had to buy more currency ($) almost $13,000 and every time they returned the money it was a loss for me because I never got the full amount back and the transfer fees were obviously not returned |

Good day all, I want to advice those that your programme has started or is about to start why not apply for the Deutchlandstipendium that automatically puts you in category A. Then take that to the embassy. But you have to check if your school is part of that. My cent wishing you all the very best. |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Odingo1: 7:14pm On Aug 03 |
JOfDMostHigh:Germany will give you Deutschlandstipendium while you are still in your home country, that is not possible. You must even be enrolled at your university to be able to apply and the university do the selection. |

Odingo1: You cant be so certain "that's not possible". Who said you can't enrol while in your home country? Enrollment automatically qualifies one to apply and be awarded the scholarship when other factors re excellent. Schools also advise their first year MSc students to apply. So, it's possible! 1 Like |

Thekingsimon: You may need to calm down amd learn how proof of fund is done in Germany. It's unlike other places. nigeria.diplo.de ...will help you learn more. Wear patience as you journey on this learning |

Odingo1:I know a lady that got it April this year. That's what she used for CAT A. It's a no brainer. Nigerians do get it. The only hurdle is the requirements which is peculiar to the university. Some are heavy on transcripts from that school, while others use your previous academic and social merits. |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Hannania(m): 7:51am On Aug 04 |
Odingo1:Lol, it takes barely a week for CAT appointment |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Hannania(m): 7:54am On Aug 04 |
Francis8999:. If you apply today, latest by next week Monday you'll get an appointment. It's not up to 2 weeks 1 Like |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Hannania(m): 7:57am On Aug 04 |
Thekingsimon:Let me break it down for you. You have two options. BA(Block account) - open an account with a provider or bank in Germany, then send €11,208(€11,900 from September). You'll not have access to this Money until you're in Germany and have your residence permit. The bank or provider will now give you access to €934 from that money every month. Option two is to get a sponsorship letter from someone resident in Germany |

BigOG: For Cat B people the last date so far is 5th September 2022. And for the past 4-5 weeks now, they've not given AD to Category B people. |

Please, I am looking for schools in Germany, Berlin to be precise that offer admission to students with low 2nd class lower GDP. I would be grateful if anybody can recommend Universities for me to apply to. Thank you so much guys. |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by ImpeccableDust: 8:59am On Aug 05 |
lextube: It seems we are both looking for the same thing. I have decided to do my masters in Germany. I heard schools in Munich now require full payment of tuition fees. That is why I am looking for one outside Munich. Also, you have to have your document complete before doing anything. E.g. passport, transcript, school cert, letter of motivation, two letters of recommendations from your lecturers, English certification, or a letter that shows you have graduated or went to an English-speaking stuff blaa blaa. It depends on the school. All documents must be certified. If you are on Skype, we can reach out to each other with information. Here is my Skype ID: live:.cid.29c04c102fb3d99a |
