SE will not get anything since nobody from their federal institutions apply. The chairman of the fund also lament that the southerns refuse to apply. The money is not allocated on regional basis, it base on application

I'm not speaking from a place of expert knowledge, but the reason there are more disbursements for Northern Universities may be just because there are more applicants from there. Students in the South, most of whose parents can afford or manage to pay their fees and upkeep expenses, may be hesitant to apply for these loans. Or it may just be an 'I don't need their money' type of thing. You see, it's not automatic. You need to apply. But this is my advice. Take the money. It's Federal money. And there is no blowback. Just take the money, abeg.

It's not automatic dear brother. U will first apply for it and Ur school have to be among the beneficiary schools. It's not every student dat want to apply for the loan that's the reason y they didn't make it automatic

yeah. Another thing I noticed was that the institutions are adding extra amounts to the school fees. Mine is less than 40k but showing #46,100 in the loan profile
